I think you unlock them when you reach the final area of Chapter 11 (Spoiler Oerba). I'll load up some of my earlier saves later and find the best items for upgrading earlier on,

Re: [Work in Progress]The Guide to Upgrading Weapons and Accessories

superconductors offer a better gil to xp ratio..

As for T3 well its just a LOT of mats some are really good but expensive.

Like I said before tho T3 weapons offer a 6th ATB guage..

As for better weapons yes you do get better weapons but each weapon is unique in what it offers and what roles you want the characters to primarily fillfil...

EG if you want to use fang as primarily a sentinel you would have gea bolg asher weapon..

T3 gets pricey with it costing you 2 mil to go from T2 to T3 unless you can farm adamantoises which i think have about a 1% chance to drop the componenets you need.

Re: [Work in Progress]The Guide to Upgrading Weapons and Accessories

I think i am starting to get the hang of this now.
One thing that I am now curious about is how many different weapons you can find. Isnt one of the trophies hold every weapon in the game or someting like that?
What that would mean then is buy/find all T1 weapons, upgrade all of these to various T2 weapons and then upgrade to T3!? Or do you later find T2 weapons??

AAARGH!! it hurts my brain!!

I think 'getting a life' is best for everyone playing this game!

Since you had the time and effort to make that comment, why don't you go and get a life

You have to get all 48 Tier 1 weapons.

Because you cannot find Tier 2, you have to improve all these 48 Tier to Tier 2, to get the 48 Tier 2 weapons, however, you only need 1 of each Tier 3 weapon per character, each Tier 3 weapon is the same weapon with different stats based on the base weapon you used, but only 1 of each for the trophy.

And you also need every accessory, how fun lol.
