Great cut scenes but boring battle system, terrible dialogue annoying characters and it feel really repetitive already!.
After just finishing Dragon Age and loving it, this feels second rate no were near as good - I hope it gets better.
Japanese Rpgs are not my type of game but Western Rpgs are and your right Dragon Age is a Awesome game i completed it on PC a few months ago can't wait for the Expansion

get past firs 10 hours training then it will get better..
I hope so the whole press 'X' for auto battle just seems like a baffling game design decision at the moment.
Then again these games always take a while to get into, it's just that dragon age was really involving everything you did affected the game, this just feels ...... distant at present.

Yeah at the start its a bit of an X mash till you get latrer in and have more skills and paradigms that you really need to master shifting for success..
Combat becomes more than just mashing x later on tho at the start it does feel that way..
Ispose we have all the I hate this I hate that people to thank for not being able to control everyone, we want real time battles we dont want strategy we want to mash, plzzz make it into a fps.. Turn based was much better IMO, control each character organise the ranks lol..
I love the game, really enjoying it, and WOW for the in game graphics.. Just take the time to turn the camera around and look at yourself, I think the graphics are better than heavy rain, i prefer the look of the characters..
Story... well like final fantasy VII lots of bits that dont make sense start to fit into place as you go thru with EUREKA moments as things click lol..

Think I may rent this to see what it's like. The only other FF game I played was 7 years ago on the PS1, really liked that game and the turn based battle system, made you think about tactics. If this is just another button bashing exercise then will rent it first to see how it plays out.

Only 2 hours in but loving it, it does start very 'basic' but the game does open up according to reviews.
Its not so heavy on the FMV this time - the graphics are swiss-a-woo!
Lighting or Maddison = my real girlfriend, she doesnt put 240volts through me when i kiss her...

Rented it now and what an absolutely gorgeous looking game! The only problem I had was with the sound, on the back of the box it says DTS but it would only come through as Dolby Digital. Managed to sort it though, had to go into PS3 sound settings and untick Dolby so it now comes through as DTS.
Seems a bit boring at first, just bashing that X button, but I'm about 2 hours into it now and the battles are getting harder. I lost Saszh (spelling) in one battle, but used phoenix down to bring him back.
