Re: Your Final Fantasy XIII first impressions?

I played about 3-4 hours last night and was worried to see that I was already on chapter 3... however after looking through my guide that I got today, I can see that there are plenty of things to do later on in the story.

As for the game itself, I'm loving it. Final Fantasy is back to it's former glory, the graphics are stunning, the battles are exhilarating, and the story can be quite compelling at times - oh, and the music is fantastic too!

Re: Your Final Fantasy XIII first impressions?

Hey all, nice reading some opionions on here.

as for me, im loving it, and agree with the above poster, its back to its former glory, im really enjoying this!. i'm about 6 hours in, and just used my first summon :smileyvery-happy: (odin).

as for complaints about tutorial pacing, to be honest i think its fairly balanced, yeah its a case of hammering x for a while, but if they just dumped everything on top of you it be a nightmare, it does take 20 so mins to get properly used to the systems, and playing around with them.

the battle system is superb, and really well thought out. story is intriguing, graphics stunning, and i have to say the music is im really enjoying.  sod reviewers who hate j-rpgs.

Re: Your Final Fantasy XIII first impressions?

The more im playing the moreim loving it,

End Game Spoiler bit

also I very much doubt anyone will have Thir ultimate Weapons at max level before they finish the game..  you cant max your skills till after you finish the game as the last level is only unlocked after the final boss credits..   Some serious Farming and leveling up of items needed in order to dismantle them to get some of the rarer items, unless i missed stuff in game..  (Dismantling is best done after saving then quitting and reloading once you know what you get lol)

For once Final Fantasy gets it spot on, you get the story mode then the imposiible side quests and bosses rather than leveling up and doing everything before sneezing and killing the final boss..

Game just gets better and better, missing some classic Final Fantasy Bits but never the less one ofthe best final fantasies ever made..
