Hello FIFA fans.  It's about time we get ourselves a nice simple FIFA Forum league here in our wonderful PlayStation Forums.

Now I'm just testing the water at the moment to see how it goes, so feedback is always welcome.

The Forum League Setup:

• Each division will consist of just 6 teams (yes, let's start small)
• The amount of divisions our Forum league can have is unlimited.  A new division will open if enough people are interested (at least four teams are needed to open a new league).  Although this will only be created at start of each season.
• In each division, two teams can get promoted and relegated to the division below or above theirs.
• There will be restrictions on what team you can choose depending on division.  Top division for example can select a team with any amount of stars, 2nd division can be any team upto the rank of 4 stars and 3rd division 3 stars etc.
• The league will last 5 weeks and it will be non-stop, the league has just one week break before another season begins.

At the end of each season we will include certain attributes and statistics to our "hall of fame"

League Rules:

• You are responsible for arranging the game with your opponent.
• One game must be completed within each week between (Tuesday to Monday).
• Each game consists of two matches.  (So ideally play each other twice in one go).
• After each game you will need to post the results in this thread.

It is important to arrange the games in this thread because of lack of attendance.  The person who has shown less interest in combining the date / time will be the one who will be attributed to lack of attendance.

Each time you post to arrange a match with your opponent you must also post a suggestion for the date and time as well.  So rather than post "I'm free all week" please just suggest a date and time for your opponent to say yes or no to instead.

If you are given a date and time you can't make, don't simply post saying “I can't do that time”, please post a date and time you can do instead.


Match Rules:

Online Friendly but using online squads (for upto date teams and to prevent any meddling or virtual pros being used)
Duration of each half: 6 minutes
Controls: Any
Speed ​​of play: Normal

When?

The league starts 17/01/12 and finishes 7/2/12

You have to arrange to play an opponent each week.  The Forum league week runs from Tuesdays to the following Mondays.

Where?

Each game must take place in the ranked Match lobby to ensure no one has tampered with a team.

To get to the Match lobby you must go to Online Modes > Custom Games > Match Lobbies

From there you can invite your opponent to the lobby and play him in a ranked match.

Just to make it clearer how things are currently looking. 

Obviously over time I'm sure those skilled players starting in lower divisions will eventually rise.  I guess it's just a nice perk for those early birds

That's cool, no probs.  Although ya may have to wait to decide your team until we know who and how many people have entered in that case.

I may obviously have to change my team after the january transfer window, as Bolton will no longer be a 4 start team due to our amazing signings.

Only thing is I will only be able to play at weekends as I'll be at uni.
