I was lucky enough to be invited to an EA Showcase event this week where I got the opportunity to get my hands on the upcoming EU 2012 DLC for FIFA 12!

During a quick presentation given by Sebastian Enrique,  Lead Producer of FIFA he explained what the DLC had to offer

Sebastian explained how the DLC Redefines the term 'add-on' by offering a game inside the game.

He also went on about the authenticity of the DLC and how it's the only officially licensed game for the tournament featuring all 53 teams, all 8 venues, both official balls on offer.

The game modes will be familiar to those who have already played FIFA 12

• Kick Off
• Offline Tournaments
• Online Tournament - following structure of event.
• Challenges - Events taken from the qualifying phase of the Euro's before event, then live events that occur during the actual tournament will be recreated during the Euro 2012 event

The DLC also introduces a new mode 'Expedition'  where you get to build a fantasy team. To start your expedition, you choose one player, and the rest of the team is randomly generated. You then go on a tour around Europe to unlock players for your team. The more you win, the more teams and players will be made available to you! Depending on how many times you beat an opposing team depends on the quality of the player, so 1st win = reserve player, 2nd win gains you a substitute player, 3rd win get you a first team player.

The DLC also brings 10 new trophies to the game.

The Euro 2012 DLC will be release on the 24th April 2012

Did you manage to have a look at the Wales team on there? I know we're four stars but I want to see what our stats are like and if we're licenced..

Disappointed at the fact that there will be no Qualification or Captain Your Country modes though, they make Euro and World Cup games enjoyable!

Was gonna pick you guys up about your duplicate thread shenanigans, but I won't hold it against you... Mainly because your's looks all pretty.

Looks good, seems a bit unimaginative though, that's probably why it's only a DLC. Will still pick it up.

Hopefully you can pick up some players that you wouldn't normally... EG. Paul Scholes, Michael Owen, Marvin Sordell.

Loving it at the moment. Neat presentation + the online tournament seems quality. Only downside is that the Wales team have false names

I've only noticed Wales that have fake names. Not tried many teams though, but Scotland and Northen Ireland both have proper names. Odd.
