I can't believe what they have done with the controls with this game, I guess they were trying to give you more control and freedom with it, but it just feels horrible and as if you have none.

All the pressing L1 every other second while holding in L2 moving the left stick pressing circle at the right time and R1 if you want to call someone else, its just so unnatural and awkward feel like I juggling swords while balancing on a ball. Just wanted to gauge peoples thoughts on it who have tried it, feels like a backward step to me.

I've changed mine back to the way it was on past fifas... The new controls gave me the rage. I COULD have learnt the new way to defend (maybe. I was extremely bad at it) but I'm just a casual fifa player and find it more fun to play it the old way... I don't have to think to hard at what buttons to press and when.

im not a big fan of the new defending controls but i really like the idea of

the new push and pull and does add to being more realistic.

And i think its the best fifa yet from what i seen from the demo and the end game could

be that bit better again.

dont like the new defending controls will change back to original fifa controls on release just hoping EA can sort out the commentary alan smith the most boring voice in football just sounds crap

I'm getting used to them now and enjoying it more, I figured that I may swell learn to use them as I've heard you can only revert back to the old style defending in a couple of game modes, the rest you have to use tactical defending, not sure how true that is though

Think the new controls are alright, didn't take too long to get used to. What I don't like is the way that every player it seems to have Messi like dribbling ability.

There really bad, I had to change them back to fifa 11 just to play, The defending is where there really bad, Pressing square to stick your foot out is stupid, I relegated that to the R1 button and now I never use it, Just retarded.

Some one just told me you can not change them when you play online or Baps, Not sure how true that is, I like the camera angle tho, The default controls are crap.

Nope, Tactical defending is hard coded on for online game modes, so pretty much get used to it or don't play online.

Yeah I hate the new defending too. Probably because I'm awful at it.
