Re: PES 2010 Demo Feedback

Sorry but to suggest that PES is being received badly due to the demo being a "75% build" is ludicrous. The finished game is released 21 days after FIFA 10, so it's not going to improve immeasurably is it?

The fact is that this years PES is much the same, if not worse, than last years "effort". Whereas FIFA has actually improved year on year, PES has been moving backwards. I loved all o' the PES games on the PS2 (even the ISS games on the original Playstation), which is when the series hit it's peak. Since the advent o' this generation o' machines, it's been pretty poor. Only the most feverent (read:blinkered) o' PES fans would suggest otherwise.

Personally, I would like naught more than for Seabass and his team to have improved PES to the point that FIFA would be redundant but it's simply not the case. In years gone by, the FIFA developers have strived to imitate PES. This is a scenario that now seems completely reversed. Konami need to look towards EA's game for pointers now........

Just played Top Player again. Lost 1-0. Oh, guess why...go on.

I'll tell you. I lost due to pathetic keeping A.I. This is a shambles. Casillas comes racing out, the ball is in mid air he slides in as though its a tackle. :smileyindifferent:

Joke, best describes this.

Edit: Anybody finding it dull? On Top Player teams just seem to pass it around and cause no harm.

try manual keeper, you wont get that, but it is VERY hard to control (L1 and R3 for manual keeper, then do that again to get off it)

-desijut add me if you want

Re: PES 2010 Demo Feedback

[ Edited ]

played the demo last night have to say i had 1 game and got rid o' it it was bad.

the feeling o' the ball was terrible it was like kicking a brick in cement the player and A.I was just shocking, the speed in which players runs in on par with wilde coyote cartoons and thar was no free flow the ball didnt bounce or ping off things.

With fifa its almost uncontrollable you have to get atleast 2/3 touches on a ball from a far wide air cross or a powerful pass, players chest it down they trip they fall they slide and really battle for the thing,PES no  infact i pretty much played the whole game 1 touch footy cause i was so confident the passes would connect and they did for a 4-0 win.

The goal keeper basically watched most o' the match lying down and the opposition players ( liverpool in this case) were to busy bushing up on thar spanish and helping rafa with his shopping list you see him jotting down most matches.

And as for atmospehere well .... it has to be the most shocking example ever yes i know its a demo but no commentary no shouting from the players and the crowd well fifa had its bad runs o' crowds but this crowd .... corpses  being held up with sticks and the sounds were terrible.

All i heard was ESPANA ESPANA ESPANA for 10 mins  even with a goal a small cheer went up then back to ESPANA ESPANA !! its like thar copying bloody leeds fans who for 90 mins shout WE ALL LOVE LEEDS,WE ALL LOVE LEEDS,WE ALL LOVE LEEDS not bothering to stop for air or changing chant.

not like fifa 10 where its a constant change o' chants and cheers and boo's and uproars you can hear players shouting for the ball and people hurling abuse when cards are dished out and bad tackles happen.

No doubt in my mind, while some will go with PES this year fair enough but for me it was never a doubt it was gonna be fifa 10 due to it having the lower leagues in it like oldham, but i cant judge without playing the rival and now i have IMO it was a right spooner.

Re: PES 2010 Demo Feedback

[ Edited ]

Played both FIFA and PES demo. Was not happy with PES touch o' the ball was all wrong the men seems to be locked in sprint mode all the time running around like headless chickens. I didn't even get to half time in my first game it was that bad.

FIFA seem to have it down though, The football felt and looked a lot more real as I played it. I enjoyed playing it even though I lost. FIFA will defiantly be the football game I buy this year as it has been since 1997.

I think maybe 1 more PES game to see if they can make a Ahoy, Ahoy, good Aye Aye one next year and if not blow the son o' a biscuit eater down the title.

Re: PES 2010 Demo Feedback

Having owned all the PES games, and only having bought FIFA World Cup 08 on PC and FIFA 2003 on PS2, I think it's safe to say I'm a bit o' a PES whóre.

And having played on PES09 to death, built my own team and kits, made me and my mates and took us through the Master League, I was looking forward to doing the same again. Unfortunately, I'm going to have to hope FIFA offers the same ammount o' edit possibilities as PES does.

Seriously, through balls are so weak now, playing it on World Class, I figured I'd have more a challenge on me from the defenders when running through on them with Messi, nope, Arbeloa just decides to stand off me and then stand still watching me race past him.

The crowds are still non existant. The players seem to be over modelled now, look at Iniesta, he looks whiter than an albino snowman.

Only Ahoy, good Aye things compared to this years FIFA are,

I know how to win a header.

Corners and free kicks are alot simpler and more effective and not the over exaggerated swing you can get on FIFA.

And now I'm struggling.

So for the first time in 6 years, I shall be buying FIFA over PES =[
