PlayStation Euro 2012 – FIFA 12 Tournament

Hey everyone!!!

 

As you all know, the EURO 2012 Championships are going to be starting very soon and seeing how Poland is one of the host counties. Our friends in the Polish community have decided to host a EURO 2012 tournament for the European PlayStation community. Have a read below for the tournament announcement, how to sign up and rules.

Welcome all football representations of the European PlayStation Community!

 

Amazing event Euro 2012 tournament ahead and this year will be held in Poland and Ukraine! For this great reason, Polish PlayStation Community would like to invite all European Communities to participate in this tournament a month before the official contest!

 

We hope that each invited team will register their best eleven players to this tournament, which will represent the colours of their country on the virtual pitch!

 

We will play the same format as is used in the Euro 2012. We will assign the registered national teams to current, already known groups. In place of the teams that are not included in our community, other countries will get unique opportunity to participate in the Euro 2012 tournament! :smileyhappy:

 

Below are all the rules that will apply during the PlayStation Euro 2012 tournament!

 

Teams participating in the tournament:  12 basic representations: England, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Italy, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Russia, Scandinavia and Spain.

Tournament Schedule:

 May 12 (Saturday) - the first match in the group stage; time: 20:30 (BST)

May 13 (Sunday) - the second and third match in the group stage; time: 20:30 (BST)

May 18 (Friday) - quarterfinals; time: 20:30(BST) [we will play on Friday due to Champions League Final that be held on the 19 of May]

May 20 (Sunday) - semi-finals; time: 20:30(BST)

27 May (Sunday) - the final; time: 20:30(BST)

 

* Schedule may change in case of reporting a smaller number of representations than provided - up to 16.

** Time of game play may change, but it must be confirmed by both teams, and must be reported to one of the tournament organizer – (PSN ID) Schemat.

 

Registration for the Tournament:

By the 7 of May (Monday) time: 23:59 (BST) all teams should sign up their participation in this thread (link will be provided shortly).

 

Rules of team composition:

To join the tournament maximum number of players enrolled per team is 11 + 7 reserve players and a minimum of 4 players. In case if there is no complete set of 11 players per game, one person have to play any position (manage the rest of the players).

 

Rules match being played in the group stage:

We play one match. The top two teams from each group will advance.

 

Rules match being played in the knockout phase: We play one match. In the case there is a tie, another match will be played to determine winner; the team that first scores a goal. The rule of „golden goal” - this is a classic :smileyhappy:. If, in the second match will not be scored goal ... We are playing again :smileyhappy: and again ... and again :smileywink: Till the first goal is reached :smileywink:

 

The team captain:

Each team by the end of 7th of May has to pick their team captains. This will be the person responsible for; contacts with the opposing team, who will send the invitation to the other team's in order to play the match and after the game place results on the forum.



Names of teams:

Once the team entered the tournament, please provide next to the nationality mane of the club. For example: Poland -> OFPS Polska

 

Reporting of results:

All results should be placed in this related thread (link will be provided shortly) on the Polish Community PlayStation Forum and it must be the host of the match that will feedback the result. If the results are not placed by 23:59 (on the same day) a forfeit 0-3 will be awarded to the visiting team.

 

Top Goal scorer:

The host of the match while giving the result of the match need to also write goal scorers. In case if goal scores are not included by the host, these statistics can be place by the visitors.

 

Score writing example:

Match: Poland 1:1 Germany

Goals:  silent2207 8’ – Makes87 83’

Shots (on target):  8(7) – 10(8)

Ball Possessions:  53%-47%

 

Invitation to the game:

To invite the opposing team the match, select the following options:

[Online Modes] -> [Pro Clubs] -> [Play Match] -> [R2] -> [enter the name of the team e.g. OFPS Polska]

 

Stadium:

Within the Euro 2012 tournament, the following stadiums will host matches. Each representation will has possibilities to set those stadiums like their own at specific stages of the tournament:

 

Group stage: Akaaroa Stadium (7/30)

Quarter-finals:  British Modern (5/30)

Quarter-finals:  Pratelstvi Arena (12/30)

Final: Stadion 23. Maj (8/30)

 

When any of the stadiums will not be unlocked (will not be available) the game should be played the stadium British Contemporary (5/30), or eventually at the Aloha Park (1/30)

 

Selection of the stadium:

To select the right stadiums, please set the following options:

[Online Modes] -> [Pro Clubs] -> [Manager] -> [Club Settings] -> [Home Stadium] -> [ Pick the right stadium]

 

BONUS – Commemorative “Stickers Album”:

Each representative of the community will be invited to participate in a photo shoot for a commemorative album of Euro 2012. In related thread available on the Polish Community Forum (link will be provided shortly) each team will have the opportunity to present to the fans and to the media figure of their players. Of course, in the national shirt, with a fully visible face (An example will be attached soon).

 

* In case of failure to follow these two minor rules, the pictures will have to be removed.

  

The European championships will be played in the game FIFA 12, and for the participation in this tournament Euro 2012 addition will not be required.
