Casual Race Nights

As promised and continuing from other threads/conversations (so sorry if this doesn't make sense to the outsider) here is a place we can discuss our F1 needs away from clogging up mics thread.

Fantastic races this past Thursday, not sure how you all feel but i do think that 2010 performance is the way to go, but again just my two cents. Was good fun the other day and hopefully will be again whenever it happens again.

As promised I will post my setups, as said earlier not sure how much help it will be but may be a helpfull starting point, but gotta write em down first so hopefully have them by tomorrow/Monday for you.

See you all soon hopefully for some more fun races

Re: Casual Race Nights

Yeah, I think that the rules/set-ups last time were spot on really.

It was good night. The quali is always a laugh too. That first race amused me though...all I heard was chaos on that last lap. Jay was looking at p1 aswell but it wasn't meant to be!

Also didn't help that sennasnit was consuming treacle tart most of the time...:smileyvery-happy:

Re: Casual Race Nights

Me senna and jay all fell off at various times that lap haha, was crazy, how many times did you give me a little nudge off the track as well semi though haha (i forgive you haha, i got you back a few times too though so is all good haha). The next one will be fun. Abu Dhabi was a definate wasn't it, did we decide on another one as well, just wondering which setups are needed first ect.

And yes semi, quali is brilliant, apart from when the pit lane line jumps up at you unexpectedly and makes you start from last, got a good lap in too haha, ah well, swings and roundabouts i guess

Re: Casual Race Nights

Hey guys. The china race was deinately the best one we've done so far in terms of entertainment value. I will try to learn to hold my nerves under pressure in future. It was a hectic last few corners though in fairness to me :smileywink:

Next up was Abu Dhabi for definate and perhaps Silverstone too?

Re: Casual Race Nights

Sounds good jay, i have a setup for Silverstone will try to post tomorrow but abu dabi i need to work on, will try to get something posted soon though to help you lot out, think must be doing something right the speed was catching you and semi during melbourne haha, that was a fun race for me, probably not you lot though as a force india suddenly appears and scares you off the track. It will be a good night though when we have the next one, and even better when i finaly get my mic.

Not sure if it is a really stupid question or not, but do you have to push any button to talk, or will sound come out as long as you haven't muted the mic?

Re: Casual Race Nights

Tuesday should be good for me I think - that's assuming modnation monday is back in it's usual slot.

Re: Casual Race Nights

Haha thanks jay, can't make any promises on how i will sound if i do manage to get a mic, hope you lot aren't dissapointed haha.

As promised here is a setup of mine from Silverstone (if i haven't mentioned anything it will just be the default setting), during my career i never managed to get a good setup round abu dhabi so just used one of the defaults there, not sure if will have a chance to try anything out before Tuesday either sorry, but if i do get a chance i will let you all know.

Here it is:

Areo

Front Wing- 5

Rear Wing- 5

Brakes

Default

Balance

Ballast- 70%front 30% back

Front Anti Roll- 4

Rear Anti Roll- 4

Suspension

Front Ride Height- 3

Rear Ride Height- 3

Front Spring- 5

Rear Spring- 5

Rest is left default

Also note this was for the 2010 Lotus and TC was on full, may have detrimental effects when tried on other cars/lower traction control settings, but hopefully can act as a starting point for you. Will try to Ger Abu Dhabi up soon if i can get a chance before Tuesday

Cheers for the set-up Dan, might give it a go.

Does your set-up make it faster on the straights? Also, do you find you have to hit the corners abit more carefully? Just wandering based upon those tweaks...
