Re: Casual Race Nights

I agree semi - same car all season would be good. Perhaps dan could upgrade from his force india though to one of the front runners. Even though he'll be even quicker it won't be as embarrassing for us being beaten by a crappy car.

P.S. I'm perfectly happy in my Ferrari if you guys don't mind :smileywink:

Guess we should get sennas thoughts on longer races, but think if we do have damage and weather we'll need longer races, how long i don't mind, game for anything. And yeah good call semi, stick to our cars (so Monza will be fun, me in a force india, less power than your cars flying past me on the long straights haha)

So glad we didn't have damage for monaco yesterday, would have left half my car at certain parts of the track in that race, same for abu dhabi i feel haha, going to have to be careful revisiting those tracks in this season haha, will be fun.

When is a realistic start date does anyone think?

Re: Casual Race Nights

Ha, I'm used to Dan in his force india now but it's up to him. Felt pretty balanced last night between us though.

And no, I don't mind Jay. Again, got used to it. Think I'll stick to the Mercedes. Kind of got the feel for it y'know? If Sennasnit sticks to the Renault, I might side with the Red-Bull but not too fussed.

Re: Casual Race Nights

Careful jay or you'll hurt its feelings, a crappy car, its a beauty (when its brakes don't lock up or hit semi or you or spin or lacks power down the straights or understeers wide) It's brilliant i tell you!! But I am happy in it haha, no idea why i like it but i do, fan of sutil i guess (in my top three of drivers at least) and siding with the under dogs, Spa couple years ago with their pole, fantastic result for them, hopefully they have a better season next year.

But i digress, use any cars you want guys, like i said, happy in my lil' car

Re: Casual Race Nights

That's all very good then. I'm happy if you're happy. I think 50% race distance would be okay and quite justified - double the race distance we're used to, plus the time used for qualifying in the second race, should equal the same time spent racing.

Do you know if you get more XP for racing longer races or does it add up the same as any distance? I don't know how it works...

Yeah 50% should work just fine considering the extra settings now.

Not sure about the XP Jay. I'm guessing it could be more but I really don't know. Would be pretty cool if that was the case though.

Also, do you know about Time Trial Party's? What's the deal there? Might be cool if we could all just drop in & lay down some times ahead of races to see where we at.

Re: Casual Race Nights

Don't quote me on this but i think you get more xp for longer races, less assists used and more drivers, get more xp depending on the xp levels of those around you as well i think, but i really am not totaly sure on that.

When are we going to aim to start this championship off? any ideas or wait and see a while

I vote to start next week personally - itching to get going. Unless anybody wants to start sooner. Not sure what day, depends on your euro ModNation stuff again...

Re: Casual Race Nights

Those set-ups would be good dan thanks, no rush though. Would be interesting to see how they compare to my half-hearted set-ups.

Cheers for the XP link - I'll have a read through that. That youtube video looks good fun too. Will take a proper look later on.

My F1 bug is heightened by me re-watching the 2009 highlights screened on the BBC I have recorded. Currently up to round 4. It's amazing looking back at them, seems so long ago now with Jenson in his Brawn car.

Starting date... I'm not sure. Realistically it could get to approx next Tuesday. But still open for discussion. At least that'll give us all time to practice hopefully. Will wait to hear what senna thinks of these rules laid out first though.
