Re: Casual Race Nights

Quality games on fifa raver :Football:

Shame you had to start burnout all over again - hopefully it wont take you too long to get back to where you were, just need a few more sessions I'm sure.

Enjoyed uncharted last night, those team deathmatches were really good. Fatigue kicked in though with each battle... The fact no one won a match whilst on my team I think said a lot. :smileyembarrassed:

Some F1 2012 news for you today if you haven't seen it already. But as I've said before, I refuse to get excited about it this year in the hope they do a better job of mutiplayer than in this years title.

Whilst I'm here, does anyone know of a contact e-mail address or telephone number for sony? I want to try and get wipeout working again but I can't find anything on how to contact them. It still says I'm still missing a key file and re-installing from my download list doesn't work.

Re: Casual Race Nights

Please please please don't make it one of those compulsary tutorials that'll take about 10 minutes to get through, teaching you what a peddle does, always frustrating. Does sound good if they get it right, am a little concerned though like you jay, have seemed to been a few daft bugs in there like the tyre bug or the flaming microphones. Hopefully third time is a charm, fingers crossed at least.

How has F1 been recently, if you have been on it much? Hopefully I will be able to join you lot all soon

Re: Casual Race Nights

We didn't do F1 last week as I was watching a certain merseyside derby :smileywink: The races have been enjoyable but the voice chat still continues to frustrate. Some weeks it can be almost acceptable but mostly its terrible.

I'm up for F1 tomorrow night if the rest of you are? I'm thinking Australia (for obvious reason) and Japan or Singapore (because we haven't done them yet).

Re: Casual Race Nights

Sounds good to me Jay

I would also like to draw your attention to this: http://www.dust514.com/en/about

For those who like an FPS, and even those who don't, this could be good. Mainly because the actual game will be FREE. From what i've heard they're funding it through selling items, etc from the store, but you can still get those items with in game money. It'll also be constantly updated and patched (The makers of this do about 2-3 very small patches per week).

Plug over :smileytongue:

Re: Casual Race Nights

If its free raver I'll give it a try when it comes out :smileywink:

This happened in a fifa match I played last night, thought it was quite amusing. I sense some deliberate diving though...

Re: Casual Race Nights

Ok Raver, what is the catch with that, seems too good to be true, been tempted by a good FPS recently and if one comes along and is free. Or am I just being cynical. Looks good though either way. I am guessing you create your character as a certain race, does this dictate what side you are on or anything, wondering how online play will work with it if you know at all? But definitley seems like its worth a look, hope it's a rainy summer now so I don't feel guilty about the possibility of getting addicted to that!

Has everyone seen the race from Sunday yet, my next point relies on that but don't want to spoil anything for anyone on the offchance

Hopefully the mics hold up ok over Easter while I'm back, dying to get back to F1 again

Re: Casual Race Nights

[ Edited ]

They're funding it by 'microtransactions', you you will be able to use real money to buy in game money or something along those lines. You will still be able to unlock/get everything and still keep it free. Also, as it stands, you won't level up by what you do, it is time based so you set your next 'skill' to train. If you keep updating your skills and lose no time you won't lose anything on other people who may play the game more.

As with EVE you pick a race but you can train the skills for other races, so your first choice doesn't make too much difference. It's difficult to explain by text. I can guide you through it when the time comes.

I've got a few people from EVE that will be playing, and i should be able to help you out with in-game money. Then, once it's in the game, use my account on EVE to launch a strike from space :smileyvery-happy:

No catches yet Dan, and CCP who make the game will be doing updates often and probably a free expansion every 6 months. CCP have spent 2 solid months trying to get the game to be free, Sony apparently have had to change their rules for the PS Store just to accomodate it.

As you can tell, i'm extremely excited about this :Shame: I just hope i get into the Beta...
