Need some help: I have an issue with the decal uploader in Gran Turismo Sport and I don't know how to fix :-(
Problem is not with the upload itself (see picture) ...
... but when I go in the game the image itself is not visable (see picture)
All I have is a blank dud... Something was uploaded, but not a picture... Don't know what the issue is exactly. Can anyone help?
I use Adobe Illustrator (older version, CS3) to create an .svg file. Then - if needed- using SVG Minifier or SVGOMG websites I reduce the size to less then 15kb and upload that into the game. What am I doing wrong???
Thanks in advance for your help
I have exactly the same problem: uploads like a charm but won't show anything in the games editor.
Anyone any idea?
I've not tried it yet but if nothing turns up by Saturday, I'll try and have an extensive look around to see if I can find out.
Are these issues coming up after using the compression tool?
I have the same problem don' have a clue what am doin wrong??
I'm having this issue also on the website it's all fine, but in game is a blank box
Also have the same problem here. Uploaded decals are visible on the web but not in-game. In-game they are all blank.
exactly the same problem. how did you get the first one to work?
Same problem I wish GT would get back to us this issue has been going on for over a week
It’s because they have the file size limit set to an ungodly low number of just 15kB! Just a simple text logo created in Adobe Illustrator CS6 will start you off at 60kB. Why not just set the limit to 1kB? Or just take out the feature all together if you don’t want people uploading half decent decals. Jerks. 😒
people are uploading very decent images though, and I have no idea how 😐@Muareece
If you use a converter to SVG it can leave you with some pretty huge artifacts that ruin the size. You'll need to get familiar with the format to drop the size, but it's fairly straightforward.@PhoeniX-J-five
I'm doing straight from vector in illustrator.
I've managed to get simple files to work straight from there. The image I really wanted to bring in though won't go any smaller l, even when using omgsvg to tidy up the code afterwards.
I finally managed to get it down in size, but when I upload after that it says file type not recognised on the uploader.
my other vectors have been fine. Kinda annoying on that one.@Acidictadpole
I can only assume that they are either being saved in the wrong type of SVG format, or an instruction elsewhere has been missed from the guide.
Something that also has to be taken into account is that it may well just be a server issue. As there are clearly new decals appearing correctly every day. Until I get confirmation back from PD, then I don't know for sure.
Remember to set outline of all objects Its harder to do if its a .png file.
The one below works
OK I am linking the best video I found here. using free software called inkscape. I was having the same problem. Pay close attention to the layering and vectoring sections of this vid to get it to work.
I will have a look at that myself might find something out i did not know.@WyldOne_1976
Worked thank you
Done all that and still no joy :(@WyldOne_1976
