Does anyone know how to set throttle for a linear response?
The throttle input is too sensitive from 50% to 100%. In these conditions it is very difficult to control a FR car, where we need less sensitivity in that range of throttle.
I would like to know why GT Sport does not offer a linear acceleration experience, as it is in several real race categories, for example: F1, Nascar, Indy, GT1, GT2, GT3, GT4.
Does anyone know why?
What control method are you using?
I'm using wheel and pedals. There's more evidence out there about the problem.@PhoeniX-J-five
This video says it all. Please PD, make it an option to have linear or non-linear throttle mapping.@ElusiveVenom13
If you want to change the throttle response get yourself a Fanatec steering wheel. A bit expensive but you can store up to 5 wheel/throttle/force feed back settings and much more.
You can not change linearity of the throttle with Fanatec or any other wheel.@phil-mac57
Anyone know of a cheaper solution than buying a completely new wheel?
I have a cronusmax plus and thought I would try to run the wheel through that and adjust the linearity.
It would be super cool if PD fixed the throttle response though...
Hello Polyphony digital, my name is Conrad and I'm writing this post because I feel it necessary for the continued success of the game. You made this game for racer and you have achieved that well. I know you are updating the game constantly but there are two things I feel needs to be addressed. In your game you have a non-linear throttle pedal that changes sensitivity from 50% to 100%. The sensitivity on the throttle pedal needs to be constant throughout the pedal travel. In doing this it will help with consistency and improve the driving pleasure you game provides. My next concern is the penalty system, which I know you are aware of. I know it is difficult to figure something so complex but it needs to improve for the future of this game. I hope your developers see this and reply because I would love to see what you have to say. This game is great and I will love to see it improve to become one of the greats. Thank you for producing this great game.
You sure thats the throttle response? I personally think its the car and the engine. The higher you ref and the more HP you get und the more the tyres can spin. Additionally some cars have turbos and the turbokick come pretty at once and not linear. Especially when driving older cars.
So in my optinion ist just realistic. You dont get your car to spin with 1000 RPM but when you go full throttle at 5000 RPM its kinda expectable that it spins even with TC off and while turning.
I've been going on about this since the beta, but nobody else seemed to be complaining and after having pedal issues recently, I figured it was just my pedal set
They really do need to add a calibration option. It has been flagged since release and it can't be that hard... can it?@ElusiveVenom13
You might be surprised
I meant none of the guys I race with here mentioned it, and nobody else was posting about it much in here.
I'm also not on gtp.
I unimpressive have a duff potentiometer on my g29 too, so just thought it was that being a ball ache.
Maybe more people need to start spamming that pedal calibration thread from ages ago too, along with that video then maybe pd will take notice of the pedal situation 😁@THC_gtmic
There's no calibration on this game. I tried my pedal mod supplied by the manufacturer (Thrustmaster) and it sucked.
I just resorted to normal pedals, not great brake feeling but throttle ok.
Played some PC2 and i spun off as I hadn't warmed up my tyres lol...@PhoeniX-J-five
Hiya fella. Yeah, I think a lot of people have been moaning about the lack of a pedal calibration in GT since the beta. I find it really odd not to have it when there are quite a few pedals, all with different setups on the market now.
It was something I'd noticed on the throttle control for a while with my g29.
If there was only one type of wheel out there, then I'd understand it as it would create a level playing field for everyone, but unfortunately that's not the case and they really should look into it.
Get on it please pd 😜💪@el-ve
You need new pedals, and a new wheel. Pretty sure that's the case even if theyre fine in other games
Obviously they need to add calibration for my pedals@PhoeniX-J-five
All good mate. I was just trying to show you that you weren't the only one that was unhappy with the current non-linear set up, and I've encourage people over there to let their feelings be known in your thread. Like you, I think the more this information is spread the more chance we have of improvement. In an ideal world we would have a choice between linear and non-linear.@PhoeniX-J-five
I'll be on late tomoz for some testing
Hopefully nudie ladies..
Bungee cords are king with this game.... Work very well.
Didn't like the feel of the Thrustmaster Pedals, so never fixed them up.... using G25 Pedals from Logitech with the resistance cylinders swapped around + Bungee cords.... the feeling is great. None of the problems that Cone users get.
It's not fun and neither is it realistic. An incomprehensible design choice away from the norm that diminish's the game majorly.
