Welcome everyone, to the Official PlayStation Community Racing Championship. Season 4.
GT Sport has been out 7 months now. We've all put in a lot of track tie already. We've had our fun with previous 3 seasons. But now it's time to get a bit more serious with some Gr.3 cars. Season 4 is a 10 week championship. There will be 4 different Gr.3 cars in use. With teams split into 4 teams of 4. Representing each manufacturer. All the rules, with tuning, tyre and fuel management will be in play. So your going to have to get along with your teammates to work on a strategy, and squeeze out those few tenths each lap.
As with all OPC events. The championship is open to all drivers of any skill level. Simple copy & paste the driver list below. And add your name to sign-up for the championship. Pop me a Friend Request on PSN if your not already on my Friends List. And you are good to go.
Teams will be announced 1 week before the season starts. Along with what car you will be driving for the championship.

Mount Panorama tonight
It was fine when we races the McLaren's around here. GT3 cars are a bit twitchy though. Should be an interesting race. And I should probably jump on later for some testing.
Cyaz on track. Have a good race.
Hopefully this goes a bit more smoothly for me after what happen a few days ago
Enjoyed that. Managed to come ahead of both my nemesis’s
Bit of bumping with @skells22 at the start, who by the way had a blinder of a start again flying past and side-swiping me

I know! I kept thinking I counted up the points wrong.@el-ve
Finally managed to finish work off this week, and no football to boot 👍
Qualy was OK. Stuffed my last lap though which would have jumped me a place.
I think I might have jumped a place in the race on my one stop strat too.
I actually started to make the ***** work for 7 laps in the short time before race start.
Start went OK but everybody was on a real go slow on the first half of the lap.
I was taking it easy but was a bit worried I'd get punted from behind the pace dropped so much.
Turns out I got a 10 second pen anyway for actually avoiding contact with Ren (on his end there is a decent butt nudge mid corner though. Sort out that collision detection stuff PD! We're quite a way in now, and It's becoming tiresome and maybe even getting worse)
Things seemed to be going Ok, but I think the 10 sec pen put/peed me off a tad and I clipped a wall at the top of the mountain allowing evil, then again letting hayc get by.
Following them through, I followed Hayc's line... straight into the wall as he turned in. I lifted after but the car still spat me round on exit and I was back down to 9th or 10th I think, also still with that 10 sec pen that didn't drop at all during that. 😑
Rest of the race was pretty much screwed as the spin ate my tyres and the one stop wasn't on anymore. Made up a bunch of time fuel saving, but the strat was gone.
Near the end I came across a slow moving Ren. Went by as I was trying to chase Hayc, but the tyres were a lap older so couldn't catch enough.
I also didn't know where Ren was points-wise so I pulled over next corner to let him by, then just sat behind again at the end of the lap while clearing a pen.
A bit out of touch and a struggle with no setup, but good to get behind the wheel again 👍
That censor should say tyres... I have no idea what got put there instead 😄
It's another report time. Yay!
I was supposed to jump on a few hours earlier to get some practice in. But life distracted me. When I did get on. Around 19:30. A friend then Skype'd me. So not practice for me. I used same set-up I used last week at Suzuka. But lengthened the final gear a bit.
Car didn't feel too good during qualifying. Think my first lap was 3-4 seconds off the pole time. I did 5 laps on this run just to check the tyre wear. Everything seemed ok on that front. Popped in the pits for fresh tyres and dropped the time to a 2:02.3 I think it was. Messed up my 3rd attempt at a lap. Think I could have gone a second or more quicker with a bit more practice and a better set-up under me. But I was happy with 3rd on the grid.
Had a good-ish start for the race. Was messing around with the MFD, that I didn't notice Rob has passed. I was hugging the inside anyway. So all was clean. Lot's of small bits of braking when I should have been accelerating early on in first lap, as things were a bit bunched. And got passed Rob down the back straight on lap 2.
Not much action after that. Pulled out a comfortable gap behind me. But wasn't confident enough with the car to try pressure nac up in 2nd. The pit-strategy around me was pretty much the same as Suzuka. With the leaders doing 4,5,5. And me doing 5,5,4. Much of the race was just managing the gap to 4th at around 7 seconds and securing 3rd place.
Then came lap 13. Coming up to lap skells. He slowed and pulled to the left down the back straight. But when he braked, he was on the small bit of grass that's there. And swung straight across the track infront of me as I was passing. Putting me into the wall. And it gave me a 10 second penalty with quite a lot of damage too. Rob and hayc soon passed me. With Phoenix briefly passing me too. Before letting me back past at end of lap. I slowed down on last lap to get rid of the penalty. I would have chased if I didn't have that. And Phoenix sat in behind me. So thanks for that giving me that place.
Not my luck really. But still enjoyed driving around the mountain.
Bring on the Dragon!
anyone getting issues? VERY BAD TIMING FOR IT TO HAPPEN
So I'm getting connection issues to the server the moment. I did have it earlier, but it reconnected fine. But now nothing. Looks like it's being reported elsewhere.
so there a question mark about the race here then
Looks like this server issue is spread far and wide. And we may have to cancel tonight's race.
If that the case i get my mood out on another game@RenegadeXtreme
Yup! Let's call it a no go for this evening. Race cancelled due to widespread network issues.
Let's get some feedback then?
Do we move the championship schedule back one week. Or do we move Dragon Trail race to week 10. And make it a 9 race championship?
