the Lego games!

LEGO games are everywhere! and theyre all awesome to play, especially with co-op partners. but its always such a tough decision as to which one to actually play. from Batman and Indiana Jones to Harry Potter and Star Wars!

the basics are all the same in most of them - your little LEGO men, or women, or dog (who climbs ladders) jump around locations collecting items, but there are some funky differences that set each apart (Jack Sparrow doesnt really have a magic wand afterall).

so, which LEGO game is your favourite, and why? and which franchises or series of films do you think would make a good LEGO game?

i really liked Indiana Jones 2. it was full of lots of references and funny moments, was packed with all 4 films and all the characters were fun to play as :smileyhappy:. i think some games based on Lord of the Rings would be great fun to play, it could have some grand looking levels, interesting people to play as and a nice story too.

ps. im not being paid every time i mention LEGO, honest.

Re: the Lego games!

You sure you're not getting paid for this?

I've actually never bought a LEGO game, I'm probably missing out hugely but after playing a couple of demos I was just never taken by them - any recommendations as to a decent starting point?

(Also do I get free lego for posting?)

Re: the Lego games!

Try go with a Lego game that is about a film you also like.  As this will help you understand and appreciate the lil references found throughout the series.

So if your a Star Wars fan, then obviously LEGO Star Wars is a great place to start.  Although LEGO Batman isn't about the film, it's good fun especially if you like and know all the characters involved in Batman, from Scarecrow, Poison Ivy and even the Joker himself.

The lego games are the easiest! We have almost all of them (just missing Star Wars III, but not for long) :smileyvery-happy:

Re: the Lego games!

ANY Lego game is the best! :smileyvery-happy:

I've got most of them I think, many bought as a good excuse to get my two lads playing together (5 year age gap when one is a teenager makes it difficult to get them both interested in the same thing).

They love it, and I normally just sit there pointing out the bits they missed  - which goes down well :smileywink:

Fun, easy to pick up, difficult to put down - even my wife sometimes joins in! :smileysurprised:

* YLOD? * *PSN Connection Problems?* *Blu Ray Problems

And we weren't even testing for that..

Lego games are amazing, especially loved the pirates one! Wasn't a fan of the demo of the new Star Wars one, though...

LEGO games are great. They're an easy way to get platinum trophies :smileyhappy:.

I think the Jurassic Park franchise would make a good LEGO game. Just imagine the kind of quirky humour that the developers could put into it.
