60 courses confirmed with 20 or more to be revealed

Physical simulation of vehicles

Physics system simulation is brand new
Represented is full fall in vehicles [possibly rollover]
Damage representation (reproduced in full by real-time collision deformation)
faithfully reproducing the behavior of electric cars, i.e. Prius, Insight, hybrid cars and the latest Tesla model

Hmmm... When's TGS? That's probably when they'll announce the release date. Definately be putting this one on pre-order, collecting it day one and chaining myself to my PS3 for the summer (assuming it's released by then of course, they have hinted at an 09 release).

You can get a few clues from that video, the collision physics being updated for a start.  At around 50seconds, the car runs wide and rather than bounces off the wall at the cost of 10km's, it scrapes along it.  Something no GT has done until now.  

 

Damage vids are being uploaded at this point in time, hopefully the storm will die down and we'll getta see some up on youtube shortly.  

 

But the numbers for the game is insane!  1000+ cars!  Thats awesome right there.  youtube replay uploads is very cool too.

Not bad, certainly room for improvement from that, but not the hardcore type of damage I was looking for, I wouldn't expect the car to go much after the first crash, let alone the second.   But we don't know what the demo has in terms of crash simulation, whether it can be turned up more for mechanical or not.  End of the day, doesn't bother me, i'll probably mostly be racing street legal cars and crash damage won't be a factor.  Never been to bothered by damage being in GT series, but I know some people like it so I guess its a welcome addition if it gets more people playing it.

Maybe my eyes are seeing what they want to see, and I know it's a youtube capture of a television... but I swear that is looking better than anything we've seen to date...

As a fan more than a Mod I have heard rumors about the 30/11/09 release, this as well has come from internet trolling & educated guessing from what has been rumored / said:-D

 

At least 1000 cars is crazy, 170 of them with damage & at least 60 tracks is going to rip it up, from what I am aware the 60 tracks aren't including reverse but does include the shorter versions of the tracks.

I believe it is the 'race cars' rather than production vehicles that will be featuring damage, from what I have read.
