Watching MB and the others in those videos I'm becoming quite excited now! I've realised just how fun it actually can be and can picture myself and the missus dancing merrily to those songs.
SingStar Guitar will be great letting 4 people play along at once. I'm pretty nifty with Guitar Hero, finding it hard to play on easy yet easy to play on hard. I wonder how difficult it would be to play guitar and sing at same time! It would need to be a song I know all the words to that's for sure.
So after watching these videos, does it give you a greater idea of what SingStar Dance and SingStar Guitar is all about? Are you looking forward to getting one of these or will you be sticking to the normal SingStar?
Are you jealous of Seedy dancing with MusterBuster? ![]()

To be honest, I really enjoyed the ideas about SingStar Dance and SingStar Guitar when I first heard about it.
SingStar Dance:
Being able to actually dance to my favorite songs sounded really cool at first - and it still does. But now I saw the videos of Seedy dancing together with MusterBuster and my hopes for the game are not that high any more (Please note, it has nothing to do with Seedy or MusterBusters dancing-abilities). While they had to move both their left hand and right hand - pretty much the whole time - making holding a microphone and being able to sing into it a bit of a challenge.
I am not saying that the dancing part is not fun, I am just saying that it is not what I expected - especially when it has the SingStar name ![]()
SingStar Guitar:
The Songs that are in the SingStar "brand" are more "family friendly" than some of the songs in Guitar Hero brand. For example finger-bleeding Dragon Force songs are probably not going to be in SingStar Guitar, but instead there will be more "easy" songs that the whole family can play and enjoy (a bit like "Lego Rock Band" and "Band Hero" games). But the biggest reason I was running around with my guitar over my head when I first heard about SingStar Guitar is "local songs" - yes - songs in Danish, Swedish, Norwegian, Finnish, French (and what all the rest of the "strange" languages are.
So to sum it all up:
SingStar Dance: Probably not going to use it much (unless it is a free update to SingStar), because if I want to dance I will probably use Dance Station for the Xbox 360, since you do not hold a controller in your hand - because how often do you actually hold something in your hand while dancing? (besides a microphone ofcourse).
SingStar Guitar: Yes I will be using that alot with friends and family if the selections of songs are good and they are different from what Guitar Hero / Rock Band games have to offer.

It's nice to see them in action but I'll be sticking to normal SingStar I reckon, It's all about the singing for me.
(that first vid, where were the guitar parts? or am I being blind?)
