Some people may currently find they are having an issue siging into PSN, with the following message appearing:

 

'An error has occured. You have been signed out of the PlayStation Network.(80710092).

 

You may also be currently encountering the error code 8071053D or 80710D36.

 

This can be related to Maintenance and numbers of people on the servers.

 

However when maintenance is not occuring and the error code is still present, this will be related to your internet connection. If you have a new router I would make sure it has the latest firmware installed for it, and when setting up ensure there are no firewalls/additional security activated.

 

In regards to the connection the ISP (Internet Service Provider) sometimes make amendments to the connection so check with them there are no issues there. Additional functions such as DMZ and Port Numbers can also be used for a better connection.

Hi DblxHELIX,

 

If you receive this error code ( 80710092) when tryin to connect your PlayStation 3 to the Network, this can sometimes be related to scheduled maintenance on the PSN. The code can appear when trying to do some of the following things:

 

  • Signing- In.
  • Accessing Account Settings.
  • Trying to connect to a game online.
  • Accessing of purchasing from the PSN Store.

Typical. It's been literally 2 months since I last turned my PS3 on because I play on the 360 more. I had heard about all the troubles the network was having so I just didn't bother logging on until it had blown over. So I long on and get a bunch of DNS crap, because I've changed my ISP since the last time I used it. So get that sorted, then spend ages downloading an update only for it to fail mid way, then ages again to get the update. Now I go to play somt GT5 prologue and it tells me to log in. I go to log in and I get this error. Nice one Sony. I can't play a game I own because of your network. What happens in a few years time when PSN is decomissioned? I keep all my consoles and it's nice knowing that I can play my SNES whenever. Can't say the same for the PS3

Same thing here. Of course, xbox live isn't going to be any better if you somehow manage to unsync your files from your account. In that case, you still have to be connected.

For my error 80710D36 it is fixed now. No errors alert now. For another I dunno.

But now i cant find free games in welcome back folder in PNS. I visited that folder for any times and now it is missing... I have 2 free games left.

Hi I have had the same problem I got the origonal error message but did manage to sign in it let me look at the store even apeared to let me purcahse the intial pack to allow you to get the free games but would not let me get the games themselves without the message poping up. Been on today the message came up a couple of times but it has let me download a coule of things however the free games are no longer there and i never downloaded any. Any help please?

Hi I found a solution in the end and am currently downloading the games.

 

If the free games option appears to have disappeared, try this:

1. On your PlayStation 3 or PlayStation Portable navigate to the PlayStation Network icon on the XMB
2. Log into your PlayStation Network account and choose Account Management > Transaction Management > Services List
3. Choose “PlayStation Network Promotions” from the list of services displayed
4. Select either “PS3 Free Games” or “PSP Free Games” and then choose “Select Content”

I have a problem and maybe you could help me out. I had the same issue signing in and even when it did there were problems. For instance in FIFA 11, the EA servers could not recognize I was connected and could not start connecting with their servers. Sometimes it did connect to EA servers and the store did not work. So here is my problem. I got it somehow to connect and get to the store to purchase a 2.99 euro pack in-game. But the transaction is complete and I'm waiting for the past 20 minutes for my pack to open with no luck. Should I wait on it or would it be safe to quit the game and re-run it or even disconnect and reconnect? should I keep some proof that this happened by taking a pic of my screen for you to refund me in case of some loss of communication between you and EA? What should I do?
