Please visit our Fix & Connect online tool if you require help with connectivity issues on your PS4 system.
Can I get you both to do perform an Internet connection test on your consoles please.
If the test returns: PlayStation Network: Failed The problem is likely your DNS configuration.
Try restarting your modem/router then running the test again.
Should that still not work, manually assign your DNS servers on the console. Google's public DNS (188.8.131.52, 184.108.40.206) should do the trick.
Let us know how you go.

Hello, I have had thi same problem as of yesterday and I already have my dns settings at that because I need it at that in order to play gta v. Please help.:Sniper:
Hi all. It worked with me! Just follow these settings:
* setting method: Custom
* connection method: Choose if your connection is wireless or wired
* WLAN settings: Scan (if your router/modem is already working) then choose your access point
* WLAN security setting: Choose which security you re using in your router/modem (if it is with password enter your router/modem password)
* IP adress setting: Automatic
* Set the DHCP host name: Do not use
* DNS setting ((here is the whole trouble)): Manual. Then enter the following numbers:
- Primary DNS: 8. 8. 8. 8
- Secondary DNS: 8. 8. 4. 4
* MTU: Automatic
* Proxy server: Do not use
* UPnP: Enable
Finally, save these settings and I hope everything will be normal with you :Party:
I hope this is clear as I can't be more clear than this!! Have fun all of you.
Bro none of this solutions work for me , THERE IS ONLY 1 solution that im about to try , that is put security settings on my router TO LOW , i will keep u guys posted if i succeeded or not
Resetting the Firewall setting to Low, DOES fix the problem. I was ablt to sign onto the PSN with no problems after that.
Even with my router firewall setting as low I still am unable to connect. I have changed DNS to OpenDNS & GoogleDNS and no success. I have turned everything off for two minutes and no success.
Less than 24 hours ago I was able to access the PSN and nothing changed in my network side since that time and now I cant access PSN - complete joke!
You're right, changing the firewall settings to "low" fixed it immediately. I had tried just about everything else so I appreciate the help. Thanks
Yes one need to go into their router administration page. connect your ethernet cable and plug in the http: of your router and turn your firewall down to min.
i tried that and am still not gettin tru i just now updated and i keep seein the same thing
Thanks bro finaly worked. Just had to reconnect wirelessly@blackspider_1433
