Anyone else a fan of 10 minute masterpiece compositions?

First Other song I heard was their cover of Alice in Chains' Would?. I've tried to listen to their own stuff but I just can't get through any of their songs

I suppose it depends on your definition of 'fan'. Their first offering was certainly a classic and far superior to most of the fare on offer at the time, but to my mind they've never actually bested it. I've heard all their other albums, but none of them have earned a regular run on my CD player in the way Orchid has. Meh. So it goes. If nothing else, at least they've produced one great album.

I only really got in to them this year. Been a fan of various songs, but never really sat down and listened to them till a few months back. Now Really really like them. I'm more a prog fan then metal.. although i do like metal, but i perfer the muscianship of bands, and opeth have some seriously good muscians. 

Saw them at sonisphere, and seeing them in Bristol next month. should be awesome.  like there new album, really interesting. Only got Blackwater park and still life, but probably buy a couple more before i go the gig. Also seen there albert hall performance on dvd which is epic!
