As 2011 comes to an end, what has your personal favourite album of 2011 been?

For me it's been an amazing year for music and it's hard to pick a favourite, however my top 3 =

1. Pala - Friendly Fires
2. The English Riviera - Metronomy
3. We're New Here - Gil Scott Heron & Jamie XX

It was hard to leave Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds out

Not being very original but I've only bought 4 albums this year Usually get 20+

2. Kasabaian - Velociraptor!
3. Miles Kane - Colour of The Trap

Suck it and see is a good album but not as good as those 3

It is a very good album, would have been completely unaware of it if a guy at work hadn't pointed me in their direction

Gotta be Ed Sheeran '+' for me purely for the versatility and great writing.

This year I've been into hip-hop/rap more then anything, so;

1. Hell: The Sequel - Royce & Eminem
2. Watch the Throne - Jay-Z & Kanye
3. Radioactive - Yelawolf
4. Success Is Certain - Royce

I know it's not to everyone's taste, but there's my list.

For me it has to be the Foo's Wasting Light, best album since The Color and the shape IMO.
