Dirty Trixx were from left to right: Xentrixx (guitar, bass), The Rage MC (vocals, guitar, bass, keys) & me, StezzaTrixx (guitar, bass, keys, drum programming). My nose isn't that big in real life by the way!

Between 2003 and 2006, many lazy, hazy days were spent writing, recording, drinking, trying to combine our love of old school hip-hop with our love of guitars. We had no idea what we were doing, we were making our first foray into recording, but we had a lot of fun along the way.

We've been talking about getting together to start a new musical project so I've been taking a trip down memory lane over the last couple of days and thought it would be interesting to share some of my favourite tracks to see what other people think.

I'm gonna start by posting a couple of the very earliest tracks, from 2003. The mixes aren't great, and there are a few things I'd love to be able to change (unfortunately I don't have the project files any more), but these tunes evoke a lot of good memories for me so I'd love to share them with anyone whose interested in having a listen.

WARNING: if you're offended by bad language be aware that these songs contain some infantile effing and blinding.

Sorry to keep spamming, this will be the last link I post...

The tracks I posted above are an example of what we sounded like when we started out in late 2003. We had very little equipment, just a bog standard Soundblaster soundcard, Shure sm58, a guitar and a copy of Cubase.

Towards the end of 2005, after a bit of a hiatus, we reconvened to record some new material. We had some slightly better gear to use, and a much better idea of how to achieve the sounds we wanted.

We ended up with a little EP that we were all quite pleased with. It's called called 'Another Dimension' and you can listen to it at the following link. It's free to download too if you happen to like it.
