- Britpop/Madchester stuff
- Grunge
- Indie/indie rock ect
- Punk, agian all different types from The Clash through to pop punk bands like Paramore and Blink 182
- Heavy metal bands like AC/DC, Black Sabbath
- Even dance/RnB. Chase n Status, Nero, B.O.B, Tinie Tempah
And no iPod is complete unless its got some Elton John on there
You sound a lot like my missus, music taste wise that is! I got her into punk quite a way back now giving her a rather eclectic ipod (including Elton John)
What's the Miles Kane album like by the way? Love Inhaler, but get a feeling that'll be the most balls out song on the album.
It's a decent enough album. I think it will grow on me. Sort of a cross over of the Rascals and the Last Shaddow Puppets (no surprise really tbh) bit of a 60's sound but modern at the same time if you know I mean.
Rearrange Skream remix not usually one to like remixes of bands but this a good effort imo
Better Left Invisible Think the uploader of this video has put the whole album up.
Edit: quoted twice
No iPod is complete with out some Elton John on it ![]()

Yeahah grunge ftwNirvana FTW
I think Chris Cornell has one of best voices in rock and lyrically he stands out from other prominent grunge bands such as Nirvana (Kurt Cobain) and Alice In Chains (Staley/Cantrell). Matt Cameron is one of the most talented and innovative drummers alive today, just listen to Like Suicide and the noises Kim Thayil makes are unreal. The dirty, dark guitar in 4th July is one of many examples. Not forgetting Ben Shepherd who really needs more recognition, just listen to the basslines in Spoonman
I Really think Soundgarden deserve more recognition as a band, most people are likely to favor Nirvana out of the Seattle Grunge bands, the fact is Soundgarden are far superior to Nirvana, and any other Grunge band of the 90's (In my opinion) so that includes Nirvana Alice In Chains Pearl Jam Stone Temple Pilots Mudhoney Screaming Trees and so on...
To put the above bands in rank order (Favorite to least favorite):
Soundgarden
Pearl Jam
Alice In Chains
Screaming Trees
Stone Temple Pilots
Mudhoney

Primarily Blues/Rock but my horizons have expanded to all kinds through the last few years.
Most of it is purchased/ripped in 320kbps MP3, with my fave stuff ripped from CD in WAV-LPCM for PS3 and FLAC for PC.
Though I have one version of Bat Out Of Hell that weighs in at nearly 400MB (that's just the one song); it's a WAV-LPCM file, 2Ch/32-Bit Float/166.4KHz, ripped from a pristine vinyl with minimal correction. Takes up some space but bloody hell does it sound good.

orchestral, piano, clasical, punk, electronic, dance, country, concrete...
I tend not to like pop, as I generally find that it could have been brain candy but for mass appeal the brain candy was taken away, however I can sometimes delight in bands for all the wrong reasons usually asian pop.
Kinda stuff like...
Black Flag, Eric Satie, Aphex Twin, Boards of Canada, Mum, Bloody Beetroots, Mastodon, Cash, Ghost Poet, Kate Bush, Janis Joplin, ~M~, The Animals, The Specials ( actually any ska will make me happy and dance like a nut ), Dropkick Murphys, SMOG (Bill Callahan), Thin Lizzy...
The list goes on, you get the idea, good music no matter the genres, might be popular might not.

Mostly Black Metal with a mythical twist, such as Immortal, Orkrist, Summoning etc. It all depends on my mood, though. I also listen to the Waterboys and Creedence Clearwater Revival. Go figure...
