F1 teams' entire business plan rests on major sponsors - & maximum exposure thru TV - that just got a lot less - will they regret it?

You dont have more than freeview TV then.

SKY will Push this With Multi million pounds worth of advertising.

Can expect Back of the Bus your stuck behind in traffic to have Formula 1 discount subscriber sports deal plastered over it.

Eastenders Will have sky sports F1 advert on the advert board in the market.

Sky could never, ever match the sort of revenue from advertising companies on the cars and tracks themselves. And Sky would not offer any sort of low deal because of F1. They haven't done it for Premier League, they haven't done it for Boxing, they haven't done it for Rubgy Union or Rubgy League. They won't be doing it for Formula One.

Re: BBC and sky sports awarded F1 rights

I am truly stunned & upset about it.

Had I have not heard it too late on the radio on my way into work I would have worn a black armband.

SKY have done loads of discounts on the sports channels for new subs buy pushing the premier football season coverage and even did it with the "watch paint dry" Cricket..

As well as the 3D push they did with watch free 3D in pubs.

When Sky atlantic launched. They used that to push New Discounted sub deals.

They won't do Current subscriber deals as you will have had your discount deal when you signed up the first time.

Unlike BBC license fee, current SKY subs are not going up this year.

Thats another advert campain thats running.

Sky Go on your lap top is now Free to current sub users as well.

The Cricket is being used to push its use.

The day F1 died :smileysad:

I turned practice off in disgust and I'm going to burn my Ferrari top on Bernies drive! Then I'm going to shoot the little weasel in the face!

F1 has been slowly dying anyway for me. This is the final nail in the coffin. I'M OUT!

I have never seen these deals, but then again I am from Wales and we are the forgotten land. :smileyvery-happy:

Mind you, the majority of comments about this so far suggests people are not willing to pay just for F1 when half the races are on BBC thus making each race worth paying for a whopping £50. That is three times higher than Boxing pay-per-view lol...

Re: BBC and sky sports awarded F1 rights

Yeah £610 (SIX HUNDRED AND TEN POUND) per year to watch F1 in HD :Shame:

I think you'll find I've been a Sky subscriber for many years :smileywink: Sky can advertise it all they want, they're never ever gonna get close to the success the BBC got with it, F1 will die in the hands of Sky.
