Re: Formula One Thread new rule changes this year..

Safety car Wave around rule comes to F1

This is nice allows lapped cars to recover 1 lap under safety car with out taking out the leaders

Block only once rule to be re-enforced no more weaving on and of the racing line.

Not gone as far as other motorsports but now stops Realy slow team members permanantly blocking rival championship drivers

Enforced driving on 100% of the track driving, no cutting corners to save fuel on qualifing out or in laps.

Max time limit for race 4hrs. Race goes over 4 hours including stopages then the race is over no matter what.

Speed upgrade
Been upgraded to 30Mb/s for free from 10Mb/s.

Re: Formula One Thread new rule changes this year..

Now that testing is over (and all the questions that we had have been replaced by ones that are harder to answer) what do you think will happen this season?

My predictions:

  • Red Bull to be strong as always, Vettel still having the edge over Webber
  • McLaren to be closer than in 2011, with good battles between Button and Hamilton
  • Ferrari to struggle at the start, but assume the position as 3rd fastest, with Massa still struggling
  • Mercedes and Lotus to get a few podiums, maybe a win if lucky
  • Force India, Sauber, Toro Rosso battling for the lower points, with Williams and Caterham sometimes sneaking in
  • HRT and Marussia to struggle big time, again scoring diddly squat
