Its publicity, get the man utd kids to buy his shirt... Ronaldo isnt just a footballer, he has to sell certain amount of shirts and tickets.

Maybe they expected him to take more Man utd fans money with him, in the form of them buying his jersey and it hasnt transpired..

A bit of lovey dovey is needed.

However he probably will go back to english football, for one main reason... He will never be the star he was in england in spain..

His team are not top, he does not have the skill to make them top, Real know it, and they need to milk him.

Man utd fans are wrong about him, if he was as good as they say, real would be top, just like zidane could pull a team up to the top almost single handed. Ronaldo cant.

He has been injured, and due to this the club went through a bad patch. And when Barcelona aren't dropping points its hard to get Madrid on top.

The same Zidane that only won La Liga once in his time at Real Madrid (and even then, it was won on the last day)? Or the same Ronaldo that dragged Man Utd to the league title in 07/08? Or the same Real Madrid team that are competing against one of the greatest squads of all time in the current Barcelona team to 'be top'?

There's too many variables in football to just say 'they should be top if he was that good'.
