Re: Manchester United vs Liverpool (12:45 GMT)

Who could have possibly seen that coming? We haven't suffered a home defeat like that since New Year's Day 1992, when QPR left OT with three points and a 4-1 victory. Vidic should've been subbed at some point, he looked out-of-sorts and short of fitness, a real shocker by his standards. I thought the ref had a good game today actually, never thought I'd hear myself say that about a football match.

Another main factor today was the total inability of the defence to deal with either the long-ball or Torres' pace. This reinforces my opinion that Jonny Evans is an essential part of our defensive set-up. He works hard when he's on the pitch, where Ferdinand and Vidic together try to rest on the laurels from last season and most of this.

Liverpool were the far better team today tbh, after the performance we put in against Inter, I worried for us today, we were to lethargic and lackadaisical I knew we'd be in trouble. United (in my eyes) have been poor all season, yes we've had the odd good performance where we really shone, but to be honest, it's been mostly luck that we've got by on.

I still feel that we'll win the PL (game in hand + 4pts clear) and we may win the CL or the FA Cup, but I don't see the 5 trophies that some United fans claim that we'll win happening.

Also, why does Ronaldo take every free kick? He's shocking. He scores about 1 in every 50 he takes, that's something that really frigs me off.

Well done to Liverpool though, fine performance, I had doubted their stamina after putting in the performance they did against Real, but fair play they managed it again. It was a fantastic win for them but just a blip (hopefully) for us, and we should remain title favourites if we can put this almost freak result behind us.

I'm not proving any of your points :smileyindifferent:

If you're representing Man Utd then you're the one throwing your toys out the pram!

Also Gerrard dived for free-kick? Not sure you watched the same game tbh.

You have to admit he wen't OTT with his fall, I think dive was the wrong word really.

Yeah - leave them to it. A Liverpool fan could start an argument in an empty room.
When they're winning, of course - otherwise it's nice and quiet in there.

Re: Manchester United vs Liverpool (12:45 GMT)

Disappoints me we won really, yes i am a Liverpool fan, but winning united twice in one season makes me so frustrated. United are defending Champions of England, and are looking to win this season aswell, so Liverpool have beat the champions of England twice this season which proves we are the better team out of them both, to top that off we havent lost against the top 5 in the league this season (still to play aston villa again) so i am so frustrated how we are not top  because of the stupid slip ups against the lesser teams.

But hey, thats football.

Just leave it, i didn't take me long on 606 to discover United fans are the worlds biggest hypocrites. There is always some excuse, or a way to make it seem this game doesn't matter.

Last year, they thrashed Arsenal 5-1, and I thought to myself then, this is the end of Arsenal's season, and I was right, don't hold me to it, but I get the same feeling about United.

If liverpool keep pulling teams apart like this we could have an intersting run in to the finish.
