NBA Finals

I was wondering if there are people on this forum that are into their basketball and are following the Conference finals? It's getting really close, as it stands the Western Finals are tied 2-2 (best of 7) between San Antonio Spurs and Oklahoma City Thunder (go Durant!) and the Eastern Finals are also tied 2-2 between the Miami Heat and Boston Celtics. I just hope the Heat don't win it all and I'd like to see a Thunder v Boston final!

Re: NBA Finals

haven't watched nba for a while now - can't really justify another £10 a month to get espn.  a fan of basketball though.

thought the bulls had a great chance this season, until rose got injured. surprised they went out so early. thought they'd make the conf finals at least.

would be nice to see the heat lose again in the finals :smileyhappy:  players are a bit too cocky for my liking (although very good players)

Re: NBA Finals

Watched Game 5 between the Heat & Celtics last night. Think the Heat are bust after losing a 2-0 lead and are now 3-2 down. Anything can happen I guess but it's not looking good for King James and his entourage.

The Finals have begun!

Thunder v Heat, and it's started out very interestingly as the series stands 1-1. OKC won the first game comfortably, but the Heat won Game Two by four points and now the next 3 games are held in Miami... :smileysad:

You can tell who I'm supporting!

Re: NBA Finals

slightly off topic (but still basketball related :smileytongue:) there was a documentary celebrating 20 years since the USA 'Dream Team' won Gold in the '92 Olympics.

Not sure how many of you are old enough to remember that but this was basically one the best (if not the best) team ever put together at an Olympic games. All NBA Hall of Famers, the like of Jordan, Bird, Magic Johnson etc.

Needless to say they pretty much walked to the gold but this shows a few bits and bobs behind the scenes and the players looking at their time together in Barcelona.

A great watch if you have chance. It seems to have been removed from Youtube for now but keep your eye out for it.

NBATV Dream Team Documentary.

Re: NBA Finals

I've seen that in the past matt as I'm old enough to remember :smileysad: Great documentary, every basketball fan should try and watch it and as you say, probably the best ever basketball team that will ever be assembled.

ha ha, join the club - it was my teenage years and was playing basketball at the time - this was just awesome getting all these players together and I was excited to see games at the time.

I thought this was a new one tbh, from what I've read is said it premiered just a few days back.  Unless it was just a premiere for tv and it's been on disc already.

Think I was 21 at the time :smileysad: played it all the time in school and was quite good. Being 6'3 it helped :smileytongue:

Could be I've watched something different.  I remember watching a programme on ESPN a couple of years ago about it. If it's a new documentary I'll have to go watch it now :smileyhappy:

Re: NBA Finals

I may as well bring it up - congrats to the Miami Heat on a 4-1 Finals win, just hope next season most of their players leave or get rid of there tatoos! I also think OKC will win a Championship in the coming years, when a few of their players get more experience and maturity in there basketball.
