Re: Olympics 2012 Thread

Sticked it for ya

Not really into Olympics all that much.  If I will get into it via the atmosphere is yet to be known, we will have to wait and see.

I know they are warning lots about the travel congestion on tubes, buses and cars but I'm not entirely convinced it will be that much different to say...Christmas or something.

Ooo only just seen this thread. As a huge sports fanatic I can't think about the Olympics this summer without getting pysically exited! :smileyvery-happy:

Going down to London for 6 nights in August and me and my brother have about 8 tickets each so far. Canny wait!

Also Phil, have you finished your degree now? If so what do you do now if you don't mind me being nosey! Only asking as I finshed my degree in Sports Coaching last year.

Nah not finished. In my third year of four. On placement for the year at a private school sport's centre. Pretty posh and getting all prepared for the Aussie Athletic Team to come and train for a few weeks before they go to the village.

Re: Olympics 2012 Thread

Lol... Pearce doesn't have a clue about football management, cannot believe he left Caulker, Sinclair, Butland and Ramsey out of the starting line up. There is still time to sack Pearce haha

Re: Olympics 2012 Thread

I haven't seen Pearce do anything half-decent as a manager. Unbelievable how far you can get off the back of your playing career.

Sorry guys,

You probably noticed I unstickied it the other week.  Nowt against you or this thread but for licensing issues and legal reasons I can't be seen floating threads in regards to the Olympics etc.

Anywho, as for the games themselves, I must admit I'm starting to look forward to it now.  Which is odd, I never really have much interest in these sorta things.

Really? Is this another advertisement issue?

I read the other day that they're considering turning people away if they wear rival brands to the brands sponsoring the Olympics. It's a bloody joke.

Didn't know they were doing that lol.  Sounds a bit iffy and made up.  Can't imagine they go that far.

Unfortunately though if you guys create an event or a thread like this regarding the games, we are unable to give you guys any support (floating of topics/promotion etc).

This is pretty much down to the protection of the Olympic brand http://www.london2012.com/about-us/our-brand/using-the-brand/

So basically if we help you we have to pay money lol, but that doesn't mean you guys can't create events and threads regarding the Olympics *hint hint*
