Really?

Means nothing. Those decisions didn't go United's way so they just have to suck it up and play as usual on Saturday.

Why are Swansea even in the English Premier League? :smileyfrustrated:

Because it's called the English Premier League. 'English' has never been part of the name. Assuming it is the English Premier League is the biggest misconception used by all the racist's that ask why Swansea are in the Premier League. Officially it is a British league, not an English league.

To thrust the point home even further, Swansea were invited by the English FA to set up a third tier in their British league. It was named the Third Division. Cardiff were invited before this to setup the second tier of the British league, which was named the Second Division.

Not many racists choose to look at history though, it doesn't help with their agenda.

Re: Barclays Premier League Thread

Great news for Arsenal, Steve Bould will be Arsene's right hand man next season as Pat Rice is retiring. He is the youth team's coach and is responsible for Keown and Adams. Better yet he's a defensive coach and should do wonders with that. Things are looking good :smileytongue: Couldn't ask for a better Assistant Coach. This should go a long way to restoring our defensive rep.

Project is correct. Looking at these things is completely useless. For example, the example given is the penalty we won against them at Old trafford. For all the penalty was scored and "cost" them two points, there is no way on this Earth that you can say that if we HADN'T been given that penalty, we wouldn't have gone on to win the game 2-1. Unless the decision is the last kick of the game, it's pointless looking at it.

Pointless? Maybe. The only thing it does is show that Mancheser City don't deserve it. They will win it, fine, but you can't say they deserve it when the majority of decisions have favoured them.

@Project, I know, was a joke. Don't necessarily agree with Swansea & Cardiff being part of the English league though, or Celtic & Rangers wanting to join. Both have their own leagues.

It doesn't at all. You can't possibly say what would have happened if decisions went differently, unless (as Phep says) it was the last kick of the game.

Man City are clearly the more deserving team over the course of the season based on football anyway.

Re: Barclays Premier League Thread

But the decisions, in the end of the day, are meaningless. Something as small as a single pass can change an entire game, if that pass going to the right fullback results in a throw in resulting in another 10m of play, before the opposition player scores a goal. On the other hand, the pass could go to the left centre back, who lumps the ball up the pitch, headed down, and ends up in the back of the net. Every single moment the ball is in play changes the entire outcome of a game, so it's IMPOSSIBLE to say that Man U would be top of the league if those decisions had gone in their favour.

I take your point that they've had more big decisions go against them, but maybe if they hadn't gone against them, City would have won the league already anyway.

Anyhoo, Congratulations Pardiola for winning the Barclays manager of the season award :smileyhappy:
