Strong rumours that we are getting Steve Bruce.

Pretty surprised really, thought he would be looking for a Premier League job. I'll be pretty happy if it comes off (given our situation anyway).

Gawge, you do NOT want Steve Bruce. He was woeful at Sunderland, the fans hated him and he had them in a relegation battle at the start of the season.

Anyway, pleasant change for us to be one of the most stable clubs in the league at the moment

This year was the first year since I think 2003 that we started and finished a season with the same manager

i'm with phep on this one. steve bruce has proven he isn't of managerial stuff - at least not in the premier league. he might be able to cut his teeth better in the championship but i doubt it.
