I found this on the liverpool forum claiming an agent who is on twitter saying he will reveal a new liverpool signing tonight at 7pm bst time.  Here is a link

I don't think Downing will be leaving unless a team makes a stupidly high offer for him. The Villa board won't allow Downing and Young to leave in the same window, that would be utterly stupid. The only reason Young was allowed to go cheaply at £20mill was because he had 12 months left on his contract.

  They want 20 mil for Downing according to the AVFC board!

Anyway if they both leave, who do you think will replace them? Maybe Chamberlain from Oxlade...or I heard Matt Jarvis

It's Alex Oxlade Chamberlain and he plays for Southampton.

So N'Zogbia was the mystery player then...not going to believe it till its on the LFC website though!
