Bet you weren't saying that in 2006, 2007 or 2009 though lol
Tilly-uk wrote:i could go with the first adjective. but to call chelsea cowardly and miserable is just laughable. it could be argued that barca are also cowardly and miserable. they only know one form of attack - through the middle. they are so stiff in their tactics they don't know how to change them. or it could be they're afraid to change - cowards. that they don't change makes them a one trick pony - albeit a very entertaining one-trick pony.
Don't blame Chelsea for playing the way they did at all, just think the description of their performance by the Spanish papers is the truth - it was cowardly, but it worked.
Cowardice is the perceived failure to demonstrate sufficient mental robustness and courage in the face of a challenge.
10 men at the nou camp, down 2-0. With the best part of 50mins to play.
Yet at FT the score is 2-2.
Chelsea were the complete opposite to cowardly. You and the spanish papers can jog on.
On tonight, happy with the result. Think we have a better chance vs Bayern.
Roll on the 19th. BRING. IT. ON!

They showed a lack of courage by failing to go toe to toe with Barca over either of the games. Chelsea are allowed to play the way they did, and it worked perfectly, but the Spanish papers described it as everyone (apart from deluded Chelsea fans) saw it.
Either way it's done now, looking forward to the final. At least we won't have the bell.end that is John Terry lifting the trophy if they win it ![]()

The only time I seen Chelsea attack was from a goal kick when Cech kicked it past the defence. ![]()
