I got to give chelsea credit by winning the european cup as we know how they feel as liverpool went through the same thing in 2005 as we won on penalties against A C Milan.  I kept saying to myself when i saw bayern missing all them chances that they would lose it and they did, they blew it big time and got what they deserved.  Also it's 4 times now english clubs have won on penalties and we have never lost.  1979 nottingham forest, 1984, 2005 Liverpool and 2012 Chelsea.  It seems english teams know how to win on penalties in european cup finals.

Not sure where you got Everton from, but here's the qualification status of all our European teams now...

Champions League group stage -

Man City

Man United

Arsenal

Chelsea

Europa League Group stage - Spurs

Europa League playoff (final qualifying) - Newcastle

Europa League Q3 (Second from last Qualifying) - Liverpool

That's it, we have 7 teams in Europe, in those places.

Just a technicality but Chelsea actually lost on penalties in 2008 Euro Final Vs Man Utd. Unavoidable but still a team that lost on Pens.

Congrats to Chelsea. Guess it's not longer the Fantastic Four now, but the Famous Five. Have to say though, it was one the worst football games I've seen.

I meant to say our english clubs haven't lost to a european team in the european cup final on penalties at all so far.  Yeah I remember man u beating chelsea in the final on penalties

Bit late but I was supporting Chelsea on the night and was happy when they won the cup.

I also became a bit of a fan of Drogba
