Re: Weekend Fixtures

a fact? oh please.

arsenal were solid at the back. even the goal was not a collective defensive mistake, rather flamini's inability to stay in the wall.

liverpool barely had a chance all game, and 20minutes into the game what i saw was arsenal passing the ball around delightfully and liverpool chasing shadows and resorting to a long-ball game. i have no idea what you were watching.

Re: Weekend Fixtures

Very unfortunate not to win the match. Another touch by Bendtner or Fabregas and it would have been 2-1 with a simple finish. Not bad, considering it was at Anfield. It will probably be a tight game on Saturday, I think we can nick it and win by one goal's difference. We just have to contain Man U's attack and hit them on the counter. Eduardo and Bendtner to lead the line on Saturday:Scared:

I don't think your giving United enough credit, our back 4 are solid and are more the capbable of containing Arsenals strikers.

Midfield is where this game will be won and lost, and thats where United might have the upper hand. as though Fab is an outstanding player, he defo the strongest in midfield, so if Hargreaves gives hima tough time he will find it hard to infulance the game.

O'shea is our weakest link at the back imo I pray Evra is fit.

Re: Weekend Fixtures

Back 4? Brown and O'shea are hardly solid and Vidic is variable. It's going to be a tough one.

Vidic is variable? He's been the most solid defender in the league for the past 18 months, that's the last word I'd use to describe him. His partnership with Rio is also absolutely sensational. Best in the league by a good distance I'd say. It also happens that we've had the best back 4 this season, and last season..

Well they did, think about it. Toure was getting stressed 20 Minutes into the Game. Arsene Wenger couldn't stop moving around.
It's fact. It's been said many times by, top professionals.

Dreadful post...20 minutes into the game arsenal were passing it around like masters, creating chances. Toure's frustration was at Adebayors inability to play what was probably the simplest pass of the game. That's adebayors fault, nothing to do with Arsenal cracking under pressure. I don't think there is much more pressure than going down 1-0 at Anfield and going on to dominate the game

Re: Weekend Fixtures

He is variable, he has moments where he just gets lost and does something stupid. I think he's a good defender, and he's getting better all the time, but I don't know if he'll be capable of keeping up with Adebayor or whoever on Sat.

Ok so if our defence is so bad how come we have had only 4 goals against us?

Baffling

Brown has done his job well, and I've already said O'Shea is our weakest link.

I really can't believe I'm reading this. Adebayor is an extremely average striker. Van Persie is out. Eduardo isn't fit and Bendtner is unproven, the only problems we'll have will be containing arsenals midfield, who are all on top of their game at the moment.

Vidic didn't put a foot wrong last season, and hasn't this season, the proof is in the results, best defensive record, team of the season last year, definitely in the team of the season this year, the man is like glue, his positional sense, and his defensive qualities are absolutely top class, and it seems that wherever he goes, a great defence follows.

Re: Weekend Fixtures

Adebayor has been superb this season and he scored against us last season. I don't particularly rate him but he's on top form. =P Look, I'm trying to knock my team down so if we lose against Arsenal I won't feel bad!

Re: Weekend Fixtures

Nah I disagree, he seems to be the weak link in Arsenals team, I'll accept that he had two fantastic games this season, albeit against a poor-form Tottenham and Derby county, but evidence of how good he actually is can be seen in the liverpool game. Worst player on the pitch by a mile, touch of an elephant, poor awareness. He can be good, but I can't really see him causing much trouble to Vidic, it would be more likely that Ferdinand would be the one he would trouble, as Ferdinands only weakness seems to be when he's outmuscled by bigger strikers (Drogba, Heskey etc.)
