Just finished watching it. I've promised myself that I would eventually get around to watching it...

All I can say is, pretty traumatising opening. That poor wife of his was just trampled on from start to end.

A boat would be a bad idea. Two days after your fresh water supply runs out, severe dehydration dehydration kicks in.

Actualy one could create fresh water from sea water quite easily, so long as you head south to the sun one could simple evaporate the salt water, and condense it to form fresh drinkable water. Science 101. Personally I'd use a nuclear submarine, one could use the nuclear engine and electrolosis to produce a great deal of fresh water... food can be fished for. There's plenty places I'd go to, but I'd probably head north, the cold would do harm to the brittle zombies, while fish would be fine.... One could quite easily produce freshwater by melting the ice by passing it next to the nuclear furnace using the blades to crush the ice. Well that's what I'd do given the option. Aircraft carriers also use Nuclear engines and can land aircraft.... mind you with some simple modiftications one could turn a submarine into a helicopter landing pad.
