Re: Game of Thrones

For the worst character it's a toss up between Sansa and Joffrey, both are spoilt brats and equally annoying.

Re: Game of Thrones

Well, that's that then 'til next Spring. Filming for season 2 starts in mid-July.

SPOILERS!!!!!!!!!!!

What did you all think of the finale?

I really like it, it was wise and both tedious to end it how it did. The promise of a war on both sides of the wall and with the shock ending featuring Daenerys and her little dragon friends :smileyhappy: but obviously I am guessing they ended as the 1st book did which I intend to buy between now and the 2nd season.

Also, how good is Jack Gleeson as Joffrey! He really portrays pure evil  looking forward to seeing more scenes such as the one with Sansa at the head-spike wall. Him and Tyrion are going to have some great scenes together next season hopefully.

Re: Game of Thrones

I thought overall the whole season was fantastic, had not heard of the books before but watching Game of Thrones has made me want to read every one of George R.R Martinis books.

I thought the final episode was great, sets it up perfectly for season 2, although I wish we didn't have to wait till Spring 2012 for the war to begin :smileysad: . It was a shame that some characters had less screen time in the last episode like Joffrey and Cersei but that is understandable as it was only an hour long, but the directors had done a great job of filling in all the parts of the story that needed to be told before season 1 could end. They were only had ten episodes to tell the first part of this story and it was told to near perfection.

Although I despise Joffrey lol, Jack Gleeson does play his role extremely well, as JakeUtd said he is the portrayal of evil. Also Emilia Clarke as Daenerys and Sean Bean as Eddard Stark I think they played their roles very well.  For me though Peter Dinklage is just superb, I always look forward to when he is on screen as Tyrion Lannister, he plays his role brilliantly.

Re: Game of Thrones

I see how it is. After the first series the thread dies, and nobody bothers reviving it for season 2. Well season 2 is over, we have to wait another 9 months for season 3, and I'm reviving this thread. DEAL WITH IT!

Re: Game of Thrones

The book storm of swords will be split into two series.  Series 3 will  be based on the first half of the book and then series 4 (if it gets that far) will be 2nd half of the book because the book is too big to fit into 1 series

Re: Game of Thrones

Sounds like they'e are going to have to change the story quite a lot this season. There are lots of small diffrences, mainly beyond the wall. But the end of Book 3 part 1 was very underwhelming, at least for me, and I don't see HBO sticking with the same story.
