The launch date is confirmed as Tuesday 5th June 2012, starting with the auditions.

8pm Big Brother The auditions 

9pm Big Brother Launch

10.45pm Bit on the Side

It's also supposedly the first time a launch occurs on a Tuesday and also on a bank holiday because of the Queens diamond jubilee. 1st eviction is 10pm Friday, highlight shows air Wednesday/Thurs also at 10pm.

Well in theory Sony's conference is 2am Tuesday here, so you can't really miss it if its on at 9pm.

Yeah but Nintendo's Conference is always earlier and I watch all 3 regardless of the fact I don't have a Xbox or Wii.

BB Oh my god cancel the summer only four more days to go and euro 2012 kicks off in a weeks time so what  can top that you might ask? Only the god dam olympics in a few weeks time. My PS3 won't be getting much loving this summer thats for sure.

An average 2.6 million viewers tuned in last night to see 16 housemates enter the house. 1.2 million watched the auditions show where Jamie chose three wildcards, one of which will enter after the first housemate has been evicted on Friday. Conor, Lydia and Victoria face the chop, will another female be evicted 1st again?

Not great figures for big brother past standards but as it's on channel five they will be more than happy I guess.
