Americans to kill the internets?

Hugely controversial bill called Stop Online Piracy Act (Sopa) is under consideration by the US Congress and could be passed through anytime soon. While it has the support of film studios and whatnot, it has came under fierce criticism from companies such as Google, AOL, ebay, Mozilla and many more as an 'internet blacklist bill'.

Guardian has an interesting piece on it:

Bit alarming that this might pass through. Consequences are going to go far beyond online piracy.

One word which describes this... SELFISH!

keeping all the content for themselves; so what's the point in media distributing the product anyways? If I wrote a book; I would love for sites to post snipits of my book as long as they don't modify the book in question. In fact large media distribution makes a huge impact on sales in a positive way and gets you noticed, as it's not that obvious sometimes to spot a product without going through a company like google or You Tube to find it. I'm against this bill cos' all these people seem to do is stick their own product in a closet, that prevent other people from seeing it.

People should calaborate more with their ideas.
