Re: Android discussion thread.

Might have something to do with Android being open sourced. With root, it's quite easy to rip the games and give them away for free, maybes that's why the devs and publishers whack on extra moolah.

Re: Android discussion thread.

It's a real shame that is. It generally puts me off buying things when I see the prices. Thank god it has a good selection of free apps.

Re: Android discussion thread.

It's because of the currency conversions. Whilst it might be .99 euros it will be £0.54 here.

Re: Android discussion thread.

Yea but that doesn't justify the prices being 0.59p on iOS and £3.09 on the Android market.

Re: Android discussion thread.

HTC really need to bring something new to sense, it's just a bit slow and tiresome.

*funny I should say that it was the main reason i choose the desire*

But if any one is bored of sense download Launcher Pro EX, Launcher Pro Notifiacations, GO SMS, GO contacts & GO Weather plus the honeycomb theme.

I feel it brings a better experience to android.

Well they have with Sense 3.0 :smileyhappy:

Looks alright but I already have most of the features in launcher pro with all the Go apps.

It will be interesting to see what HTC come up with the desire wildfire and their S/Z counter parts since its not compatible

Re: Android discussion thread.

Got my new HTC Desire S last Monday (11th), so I'm new to Android and loving it so much!

It's trillions times better than iPhone.

Not gonna root my phone - scared of screwing it up!

Re: Android discussion thread.

Fair do's :smileyhappy: I'll say this with some confidence, it's pretty much impossible though to screw your phone through rooting. Only way to mess it up is doing something wrong when flashing a new radio or not backing up old ROMs when flashing new ones.

Health to enjoy your Desire S!

There should be some bits of Sense 3.0 filtering down into the phones that run 2.1 at the minute, but what exactly that entails no one knows.

Re: Android discussion thread.

something seems to have gone wrong with my galaxy S :smileyfrustrated:

its been flashed and has been working great until last night where it crashed as i was trying to shut it down to save the battery for the next day. because it crashed i removed the battery to cut the power but the next day i turned it on and my phone seems to have hit a major glitch

on start up i get a large number of apps that arent running correctly and get no option but to force close each one. also it looks like the darky's rom isnt there because the home screen looks like its fresh out the box but the apps are still there?

i tried using the darky app to re-install the rom it does it fine but the outcome is always the same. i just get the same screen the same warnings about apps that need to force close

if anyone can help it would be great
