Is that really the case? The iPhone still suffers from death grip which is a poor physical property, mind you, those side antenna's are one Apple "innovation" that nobody wants to copy :smileyvery-happy:

Death grip?

Yup, Apple made the bad decision to place it's antenna's on the sides of their phones. When somebody holds the phone, it blocks the signals. It is probably the worst design in mobile phone history and yet Apple still insist on doing it, probably because they want to save face by not admitting they made a massive mistake.

They tried to make it better by placing two antenna's into the iPhone 4th Generation, but it didn't help. If the 5th Generation still has those side positioned antenna's then it will suffer from Death Grip.

Re: Apple ordered to suck Samsung sausage

I'm sure the loss of signal is very rare though.  Seems fine to people I've seen using it.

I do agree with PinPin in regards to build quality.  My Samsung feels cheap and flimsy compared to my missus' iPhone.  Mine may have the specs but sometimes things don't work or freeze whilst the biggest thing the iPhone has for me is rather simple, it just works. :smileyvery-happy:

That and the fact that I can easily sync pictures, apps, contacts, videos with my iPad and have access to my iTunes music is making the iPhone 5 very tempting to me.  Although this isn't too much of an issue as I could just use Dropbox if going to an Android phone.  As for music, well I just use my Sony Walkman for that.

Although the new Samsung Galaxy does look pretty and I do like my widgets.  I keep switching who I may go with but I feel despite Samsung winning the court case, my decesion for the next phone (come September) will have nothing to do with who copied who, but just with what I feel will work better for me.

I couldn't careless if the majority were on iPhone (whilst I was on Samsung) and the majority are now flocking to the new Samsung whilst I will most likely switch to iPhone.  It's not that I'm a rebel.  I just like to base things on my own opinion and not just follow the crowd or the latest hype.

I did read somewhere that a very large portion of people don't go for same phone model (company) after just one bad experience.

I've had many many bad experiences with my current phone, I am a tolerant man after all, which I'm sure most of you are already aware of lol.  The loss of signal from a side antenna is nothing compared to the trouble I have had.

So back and forth, back and forth I keep going in my mind, still not decided which way I will swing.  I have a few months to decide still though.

Apologies for rant, was longer than I anticipated.

That's pretty much their major selling point for me. And it's handy because their ability to document anything in a comprehensive way sucks big time.

If it sways your decision, Frutorious will be exclusive to iPhone around Septemberish (TBC) and free.

It's shaping up pretty well if I do say so myself... :smileyvery-happy:

Re: Apple ordered to suck Samsung sausage

I love the little qwerks on the iPhone.... such as you can text anyone else who has an iPhone for free with iMessage :smileyhappy:

I know it has its downside such as you cant get flash or anything adobe related on safari :smileysad:

Also Siri is good but its somewhat restricted as if you ask it where the nearest petrol station is.... it will come back & say thats for Americans only :smileysad:

But i still love my iPhone & it has a case that smells of a Jelly Belly Grape :smileyvery-happy:

Re: Apple ordered to suck Samsung sausage

I think come the new iOS, Siri should work properly in nations other than the US.  I think.

The irony being that Americans wouldn't even ask about petrol stations... :smileyindifferent:

Apple might not have to suck anything after all.
