Not sure about fellow trolls, but if I had naked pictures of you in the shower, I'd probably keep them to myself!

OPINION & NEWS
I wouldn't even keeep them lol, if they were pictures of me.
The above line may be considered as trolling; cos' I'm going off topic.
Wikipedia reports of 2 people being arrested in September of 2011 for trolling specific people, One of the males responsible was setenced to 18 months imprisonment and banned from using Social networks for 5 years; but I think when you start targeting specific people you're actually bullying them.

I assume getting traced would only happen really good trolls and annoying people.
I would assume tracing would happen to people actually breaking laws, rather than simply disagreeing.

More government interference of the internet. Like most of these, how does the pursuant convince a court of law of an individuals guilt based solely on an IP address? It's similar to movie studios & record companies pursuing file sharers. A decent lawyer can argue this out of court. Be interesting to see how the facebook woman gets on in her action mind you.

OPINION
It's alright to disagree with a person, but not everytime they post something. It helps if you say what you're disagreeing with and offer a better solution, rather than saying "That'll never happen or That's completly wrong" without explaing yourself fully.
As for the government, I think they want everyone to come out of the closet by announcing their I.D (I'm Jo Blogs, 23 yrs old, from Moonanmars with 49 convictions incl: GBH, 4 counts of murder and hacking 5 goverment buildings), where everyone's sole identity would be exploited across the internet. They're also making it easier for other folk to steal our identities.
So the government is fast tracking into my bad books at the minute. They might even go down as the worst government in history
Jo Blogs and their profile contained within the brackets is completely fictitious and bares no resemblence to any person living or deceased and any such person found to be living is completely coincidental.

nah, They will probably make it like ireland.
If i traced you and found out you were Irish on Eircom, I would go to the police and tell them your ip addres and tell them I wanted your address as I wanted to take legal action against you in a civil court.
Its not their concern, they dont investigate civil matters only criminal, the courts decide if I have a right to sue you, not the police, so they would give me your address, and Id hop in my car and start driving down to you. They wouldnt even tell you I know your address. The same thing happens in the UK IF i have your ipaddress the cops will give me your address easy enough.
So this law is only for people who dont know how to get someones ipaddress, the police wont have to investigate or get a subpoena like they do now, they will be able to just request it and give it to the person who asked for it.

Do you not have to sign anything or put your details down to gain access to that information?
A flaw in the system if you don't.
