Good luck with it all Azed. I was in the same boat as you ten years ago and got through it, you will too.

Sure, I had Terra Toma. The primary site was testicular but it was only detectable via ultrasound so it slipped under the radar.
By the time I was diagnosed it had literally run amok and had made it's way into my lymphatic system, into my stomach, a kidney and I had 9 secondary tumours on one of my lungs. It sounds like you were caught much, much earlier and for that I give you a great big *PHEW*
At the risk of sounding corny you seem to be coping with humour and trust me, it is the best way to deal with it, laugh the bugger into submission.

If you mean when I get back home, maybe a nice hot shower and complete my backlog of ps3 games.
Or if you mean once it's all over, probably driving lessons, then going to america.

I'm sorry to hear what you had to go through, learning it had spread that far must have been hard and also i'm very glad to hear you have recovered. Are you officially "cured" now?
Humour is the best thing to have when you're in a predicament such as this. What has been your favourite joke you've heard?

Think she was either a student nurse or was working in the women's ward.
Good news though, ive finished the first 3 days of my first course and I am due to go home within the next few hours. Then in a couple weeks time im back in as an outpatient for injections, then it starts again.
3 months treatment in total. Feel free to ask anymore questions.
but great news for you that you're going home!
Sorry EG, next time i'm in ill try harder.

I was on cisplatin and it made everything I ate taste like aluminium, so even though you're shedding weight like the clappers food is a horrible ordeal, coupled with the mouth ulcers.
Are you finding that or have you dodged that bullet?
I can't really tell yet to be honest, I suppose ill find out further on into my treatment.
Hospital food is quite bland so it's hard to say really.
I did have a nasty reaction to the kidney protection drip they gave me. It made my arm ache badly and I also developed a slight rash.
I also swelled up quite a bit due to the saline drips, the other day my eyelids made me look like a panda.
However that has since passed, due to a water tablet and needing the toilet every 20 minutes. Not a fun time at all ![]()
