Anyone can enter the eurovision, and anyone can write the song, most who enter are pro and have the songs written by pros.

The rules are just around the song itself, it cant be out already, it cant be in the charts, it cant be a cover, it has to be a new song.

The reason people like u2 dont enter is because they dont want to. If youre already famous you have no need to go on it, although there have been exceptions.

Maybe you should go and give Bono a knock, don't you both live in Dublin? Surely the village of Dublin can't be so big that you can't find out which cottage is his, just tell him the score and what he will be doing for you and the country, he seems like a good bloke and even helps out poor Africans.

Some people have made it through Eurovision. Look at ABBA. Eurovision is what put them in the limelight.

That was my point, it put them in the spotlight, U2 are in the spotlight so have no need to be "put in" the spotlight.

I dont think u2 would be happy sharing revenue with the eurovision over a song they wrot
