BBC priorities wrong?

BBC has paid to show NFL games live on Monday nights, shouldn't they have used that money for something we actually care about?

Re: BBC priorities wrong?

Like Snog, Marry, Avoid. There is a reason they moved it to day time BBC 2! Oh wait...

Re: BBC priorities wrong?

You see, the thing with these American sports is that you make loads of money from the adverts - so it is pretty much like they are paying us to put up with some guff for a couple of hours at 3am or something. It's simple maths really.

Re: BBC priorities wrong?

Seeing as though its our money and the vast majority will not be watching it, no they shouldn't be spending our money on things we don't want.

I wish they would do away with the whole license rubbish and get their income from adverts like every other channel. I don't watch enough TV programs to let adverts bother me, besides they are useful for when you want to go for slash or a smoke.

Re: BBC priorities wrong?

Not so sure about that Warren. No licence fee, no super documentaries but more reality tv with text voting. :smileysad:

And hopefully no more Snog, Marry, Avoid?

So shows with high ratings are bad, but shows that few people will watch are also bad?

Re: BBC priorities wrong?

Yeah lol, tbh I am not sure if Snog, Marry, Avoid is popular or if it gets daytime scheduling because it is cheap enough to fill a daily slot. It is hard to imagine how it could get a lot of viewers but then again Question Time gets about 500,000!
