I'm not sure if this trend is as big as it used to be but do people still go out on a bank holiday Monday to pubs to get slaughtered all day and night long?

I never understood why people did this because you have to be back at work on the tuesday, surely on a bank holiday weekend it would be better to get drunk all weekend and then use the Monday to recover before going back to work on the Tuesday.

Not that it's ever made any difference to me, every day is a good day to drink (not that I get out to bars these days) but loads of people seem to make a point of going out on a bank holiday Monday that would mostly never go out on a regular Sunday night because they have work the next day.

To me bank Holiday Mondays are just a free Sunday and depress me late afternoon because I know I have to get up in the morning, hangover or not.

most tuesdays are my day off, as i work saturdays but i'm giving the booze a rest at the mo anyhow!

This week is going to be annyoing with the bank holiday and the teacher strikes, I just want to get my uni finished by June so i'm to spend  the week working at home, there is no point at this time of the year we just had easter and summer holidays are not too far away.

I hadn't heard of this until now but it seems like an excellent initiative which I may have to get involved in.

I can never remember what's open or what's closed, or whether anythings actually open at all.

So usually I just stay home and prank call the attractive woman round the corner, she's Agoraphobic so she has no escape.

sometimes i have to work "bank" holidays.

not this one \o/  but I agree. its just an extra day off work with no real significance anymore other than extra traffic and less public transport.

oh and 20% off at B&Q (or the usual diy outlets in your area)
