Hes just normal.
People have a misguided perception of the 1%, some of them are greedy, they will not admit a child is theirs to get out of paying for them, they will pay themselves in complicated ways to avoid tax, they will make the company pay for everything, they will use the least ethical but highest profit approaches to everything if they can, and give very little to charity unless they can write it off as a tax break.
These people are in the minority.
Most of Americas 1% think they dont get taxed enough, pay all their taxes, employ as many people as they can, treat their workers as best they can, and donate huge money.
Wealthy people have always been the most generous people on the planet, Bankers used to be the most generous in the world. Business men and women often donate eye watering amounts of money, the clintons, the gates, warren buffet thelist goes on and on and on. Sure they were/are business forces to be reckoned with if you get in their way, but the generoisity of the 1% has always been vast.
They aint all steve jobs

Yeah, he should have given more.
Then the Samsung CEO would have copied him and doubled the donation ![]()
But what if His Steveness gave anonymously, or made provision in his will for such generosity? How would he then compare to Bill look-at-me-everyone-I'm-donating-to-good-causes Gates?

Bill gates was giving anon for a while, but when he set up his own foundation others got involved, people like warren buffet who will be estimated to donate about 50 billion by the time he dies started matching peoples donations to the bill gates charity, football clubs like barca are part of bill gates end polio campaign which has raised millions and looks like it will eradicate polio in our lifetime.
Considering steve didnt get paid as much as bill, not even close, considering he wouldnt pay for his own child, considering he had most of his money tied up in tax avoision schemes its impossible for him to have donated as much.
If youre gonna suggest apple donated similar ammounts of money on his behalf, Id say thats rubbish too, Bill gates donates more of his personal wealth, combine in his charity, what microsoft does, well, someone like steve jobs becomes an insignificant little speck of dirt.
But of course like I said, there are plenty like bill, some more generous, some just as generous, some a little less but still mountains of money.

If their next generation keep this on then they can build up their fortune and carry on donating, which I wouldn't be suprised the Gates family is now conditioned to do.
Yeah, as long as they continue to support the exploitation of the Chinese people by suppressing democracy, they should keep on raking in the money just fine ![]()
