[ Edited ]

Adjust the CPU if you want.

New Sim City or old one?

I'm guessing the upcoming Sim City will be processor hungry.

Re: Building a mid range gaming pc

How about this one plus this case?

http://www.ebuyer.com/172779-casecom-6788-all-black-case-km-6788-black

eBuyer are also doing this mobo - http://www.ebuyer.com/351598-gigabyte-ga-z77-d3h-socket-1155-vga-dvi-hdmi-8-channel-audio-atx-mother... - plus a free Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro rev 2 fan

Once the case is added in it's a bit over budget but it has an i5 2500K plus a Z77 mobo (so you can OC in the future, or straight off if you get that eBuyer deal with the cooler), 2TB of space so plenty and 4GB of RAM should be enough still.

Re: Building a mid range gaming pc

I won't be buying the new Sim City. Not from what I've heard about it. I can't even find the link of where I read all this bad stuff about it, because there's somehow a huge gap in my Facebook timeline, from when I posted D:

Probably due to it requiring Origin - and possibly due to their being a "Limited Edition" with exclusive DLC, and then a "Collector's Edition" with yet more exclusive DLC.

I won't be buying it for the DLC reason, which is a shame, I like Sim City.

You could try here & buy a bare bones bundle all you need to add is a hdd, dvd drive & graphics card.

You basically build the system youself.

Re: Building a mid range gaming pc

Is the gaming pc going to be for a course you're doing? or for like a gaming rig to play games on while youre not in uni?
