You can get RGB Scart cables for the PS3 but you need a RGB Scart socket on your telly for any improvement.
Have a look at this from Amazon

Hiya!
Unlike digital HDMI cables to a certain extent, analogue cables (SCART RGB for example) do benefit from being quality built.
I've bought Monster Cables in the past, and although I wouldn't recommend spending on one of those these days, I would say that you should steer clear of the really cheap pap off Ebay and go for a more quality cable.
That said, as others have said, HD is the way to go so I wouldn't expect too much if I were you.
You really are missing out on what the PS3, and especially BluRay, is all about until you go HD.
Good luck.

I once asked a sales person in John Lewis whether a particular TV had an RGB SCART input. He developed a blank look and then after a short delay helpfully explained that SCART was better as it "uses all the colours of the rainbow".
Probably my own fault for asking.

Why do I imagine a rather camp person doing really big hand movements as though he were sprinkling fairy dust as he said it.
All the colours of the rainbow! lol

Yes, I was particularly concerned about what would happen to the yellows as they didn't appear to have been catered for in the standard.
