Care to recommend a phone?

[ Edited ]
I am selling the IPhone 4S, today was the last straw. Can someone please recommend a good one and preferably one you know can actually receive calls and sends texts when you actually push send?

Would be preferable if the phone was telling the truth about signal instead of saying you had it and that it was changing in strength from room to room when actually the log file says it made no attempt to contact your provider for over 15 hours!

Isn't there a black one and a white one?

Umm, I'm confused. "I am getting the IPhone 4S, today was the last straw."

What?

You asked us to recommend a phone, and then said you're getting the iPhone 4S? :smileyindifferent:
Do you mean you HAVE the iPhone 4S already, and wan't another phone?

You can't go wrong with a samsung galaxy s2 or the new galaxy s3.

Everyone i know who has an iphone 4 or 4s constantly have problems with calls breaking up or dropping out.

In that case, good choice

Yes, as above, the S2 or S3 would be a good phone if that's the kind of thing you're looking for. Amazon have them at the moment sim free.

There's also the HTC One X or whatever they call it, and the Samsung Galaxy Note. I don't know much about these phones though, but I've seen a lot of comparisons on these phones, compared to iPhones and especially the S3.

I'll be getting an S3 myself in a couple of weeks when I have the money, and my dad also has one. It's a great phone. Looks really nice in both the Marble White and Pebble Blue, but personally I like the Marble White a little better.
Maybe a bit big, but as a smartphone, I think it needs to be big to be honest. They're practically mini computers/tablets now.
The S3 is really fast and smooth though, and running loads of apps at once, still doesn't bring down the RAM much.

There's also a direct option to block incoming texts/calls from numbers you don't know, straight away, which is a really handy thing to have. (Phones I've had in the past hasn't let me do that and I've had to change my number more times than I've had hot dinners)

Because of the size, you can only really text/type one-handed.

Samsung's and HTC's seem to be pretty popular Android phones.

I can't give much information on the S2, but my grandma recently bought one, and it looks really nice. Seems easy enough to use once you've got the hang of it too.

Coming over to BlackBerry, if you decide you want one (Although I doubt you would) aren't that great of a smartphone. I have one, with the QWERTY keyboard, but as far as their app store goes, most of it is overpriced, and there isn't many apps on there that you think they would automatically have (Skype etc.)

I can't wait to get rid of my BlackBerry, but if apps aren't important to you, and BlackBerry interests you, then there's a little info for it.

The new 7.1 software though for the most recent BlackBerry's is actually pretty slow. I had 7.0, which was reasonable enough speed, as it should be, updated to 7.1 to get Mobile Hotspot, and my phone slowed down quite a bit.

They're really darn slow to turn on as well!

TL;DR - Samsung's and HTC's seem to be the way to go.

Really? Everyone you know? That is strange.

I have no problems with mine at all, and neither does anyone I know with an iPhone.

Must just be you and everyone you know then.
